Did Fenner Recant?
Did Tom Fenner Recant?
According to a statement published by Tentmaker and Pam Dewey, Tom Fenner claimed that he never had gathered the facts that he had intended to, in regard to his radar work at the Duripinar site in Turkey.
What’s interesting, however, is that he contridicts some early statements that he had made earlier, that he had infact had found the evidence. Why would Fenner change his mind regarding his supposed finds? Is it because he was afraid of losing his job? Let’s quote the man to find out.
“In a way, this is like professional suicide. There is little room for religious thought in geology.”
Tom Fenner
In Quest for the Ark - broadcast on TLC.
“If I’m seen in here as being with a bunch of holy mollies that will discredit me as a scientist.”
Tom Fenner
In Same broadcast.
But in the same broadcast, the following is recorded:
Narrator: As the interference fell away, strange patterns began to appear.”
Fenner: Seems to be some repetitive features in the shallow part. I can’t think of a parallel except that it’s a floor with some type of wire meshing reinforcement. I’m having a little trouble accepting what I’m seeing here. ..wait a minute. It’s coming in on parallel lines. It’s V Shaped. Line after line.
Conclusion, opponents of Wyatt have cited Fenner’s latter statement in claiming that he had never gotten the radar scans. Tentmaker and Pam Dewey and other critics omit Finner’s earlier statements in support of the structure, and fail to site Finner’s “holy mollie” statement.
Fenner’s scans, shown on the TLC program Quest for the Ark, speak for themselves and supports Wyatt’s view, while Finner is shown contradicting himself and concerns about losing his job.
The fact remains that we cannot rely on people, but let the evidence, the scans, speak for themselves.

HOW DO YOU ACCOUNT FOR FENNER LATER ATTRIBUTING THE RESULTS OF SCAN TO BOTTOM BEDROCK?
Fenner admits that there is repetitive features in the “shallow part”, and he speculates that there is “some type of wire meshing” in the features there. By and large, Fenner’s scan over-shot the depth of the ark, as his critics have noted, and that he should have concentrated on the “shallow part” where his scans documented as having “repetitive features.” Fenner interpreted the pattern as possibly wire meshing. Even if Fenner’s scans are thrown out, it must be noted that Wyatt and Fasold had documented rib patterns throughout the formation, and this has been documented on video. The critics have been either unaware of the video’s existence, or ignore it.
