Seated statue of Hatshepsut - Karnak Temple
An "illegal" tour of the courtyards under restoration through the eight and ninth pylons, thanks to an entrepreneurial security police guard. He took us to this large statue of Hatshepsut on the southern side the eighth pylon
Hatshepsut has very masculine features in this statue and this may possibly date from late her reign. The other statues behind us are in poor repair and apparently totalled six including her predecessors and Thutmosis III, her co-regent.
