On the left hand side foreground is the back of one of the colossal statues of the18th Dynasty. In the background is the processional shrine of Ramesses III with two statues guarding the entrance. Many singular temples are in Karnak, dedicated to the Triad of Amun, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu, the moon deity. The column in the center is the only remaining column of huge kiosk or 'colonnade of Taharqa' built by the Nubian (Kushite) pharaoh, Taharqa.
