THE MARYLAND COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF NEW JERSEY, INC. IS SAD TO ANNOUNCE THE DEATH OF OUR BELOVED SUPERVISOR OF SCHOOLS AND PASTOR THE REV. DR. J. BOLTON WILLIAMS. J. BOLT, AS HE WAS AFFECTIONATELY CALLED BY ALL MARYLANDERS, HAD BEEN A PILLAR OF STRENGTH IN OUR SOCIETY AND HIS PASSING IS A LOSS TO MARYLAND COUNTY. REV. J. BOLTON WILLIAMS HAD BEEN OUR SUPERVISOR OF SCHOOLS FOR ALL OF OUR EDUCATIONAL LIVES IN MARYLAND COUNTY. HE WAS ALSO INSTRUMENTAL IN PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NEEDY MARYLAND COUNTY STUDENTS TO ATTEND THE UNIVERSITY OF LIBERIA AND CUTTINGTON UNIVERSITY. THE COUNTY OF MARYLAND BLEEDS AS WE LOST AN EDUCATOR, STATESMAN, REVEREND AND A MENTOR TO MANY IN MARYLAND COUNTY AND HARPER CITY IN PARTICULAR. MAY THE SOUL OF REV. J. The family of Dr. J. Bolton Williams announces with profound regrets and deepest sorrow the death of their father, uncle, and cousin, the Rev. Dr. J. Bolton Williams. This sad event occurred on Friday, July 16, 2004 in Marietta, Georgia, USA. He was 90 years old and was born on November 26th, 1913 in Harper City, Maryland County, Liberia.

He served as Principal, Cape Palmas High School, and Superintendent of Schools for Maryland County, Pastor, Potter Memorial Methodist Church, Mount Tubman Town Methodist Church, Pastor, Mount Scott United Methodist Church, and District Superintendent of Maryland County Methodist Diocese.
Rev., Dr. J. Bolton Williams is survived by his wife, Avis Williams, his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Viewing/Wake-Keeping:
The wake of the late Rev., Dr. J. Bolton Williams will be held on Friday, July 30, 2004 in Marietta, Georgia at the Marietta First United Methodist Church (where he worshipped for the past 12 years), 56 Whitlock Avenue, NW, Marietta, GA from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Funeral Service:
The funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the Marietta First United Methodist Church, 56 Whitlock Avenue, NW, Marietta, GA from 7:30 am to 9:30 am.

Note: All tributes will be made at the wake. Only pre-selected tributes will be made at the funeral. Please contact the individuals listed below to arrange for tributes at the wake.
