1st home of Sophia and Christian Thorpe in Metamora Indiana. It was behind their Black Smith Shop.
Second home of Christian and Sophia Thorpe (across the street from the Black Smith Shop)where Mary Thorpe and sons Ross and Charles were all born. And, the place where Charles B. Williams and Mary Thorpe were married. This is a recent photo of the home taken 7/3/03.
Thorpe Blacksmith Shop
The Blacksmith shop, was owned and run by Christian H. Thorpe. Sophia and Christian originally lived in a small home behind the blacksmith shop until Christian had a Victorian style home built across the street. (see above photo) Mary Thorpe was born in this home in 18 Nov 1884. Mary Thorpe and Charles Blaine Williams (Sr.)'s sons, Ross Tracy Williams and Charles Blaine Williams (Jr.), were born in this same home.
