About the Author
Full time, JOE RIEKERS is a federal agent, protecting our nations resources. In his law enforcement capacity he is also a firearms instructor. In his free time he pursues the outdoor life. In 1988 Joe began breeding and training gundogs. His dogs have accounted for many field trial wins and countless birds that were served at the dinner table. In 1996 Joe established Selective Sportsman, a small business specializing in custom shotguns, shotgun-smithing, shooting instruction and gunfitting. As a result, Joe has spent countless hours as an apprentice to gunmakers and shotgunning instructors. He has contributed monthly to the Gundogs Unlimited Magazine and has appeared on the Gundogs Unlimited TV Show. Research for his articles and book have taken him hunting all over the U.S from coast to coast and border to border.
