Jive Records and Makeup4Sisters Promoting Nivea

Do women listen to music while putting on their makeup? According to a recent customer survey sent out by Makeup4Sisters™, their customers do. And, soon, customers as well as new visitors to www.makeup4sisters.com will be reassured when they hear it's "Okay," Nivea's 2005 best-selling hot single that tells women it's "okay" to beautify themselves. That's when Makeup4Sisters™, a company of The MarieLynn Group, Inc., and Jive Records, a division of Sony BMG, begin a cross-promotion to promote the highly-anticipated May release of Atlanta-based artist, Nivea, via their respective online venues and selected radio stations.

Nivea, who is known for her beauty and her rich R&B and hip hop melodies, was first featured on "Dangerous" with Mystikal and is projected to score big with her new CD "Complicated" which will be released soon.

During the five-week promotion, patrons of Makeup4Sisters.Com and Click2Music.com, as well as registrants to Nivea's homepage will be entered in the weekly drawing for a $100 "Pick your own Goody Bag" gift certificate for cosmetics or fragrances from Makeup4Sisters.Com. The company is the premier online retailer of the Color Me Beautiful brands, including Flori Roberts and IMAN, Patti LaBelle and Gayle Hayman-Beverly Hills, and more. The promotion kickoff will be announced on all three sites simultaneously and in major black media in late March.

In addition to the gift certificates, newsletter registrants at Makeup4Sisters will have a chance to win advance copies of Nivea's "Complicated." Each week, 28 winners-four each day-will be selected in a random drawing from among registrants and customers of the online store, which specializes in cosmetics and fragrances for women of color. Weekly winners of both the gift certificates and the CDs will be notified by email each Saturday night, and should receive their prizes by the following Wednesday.

According to Ivett Ramos, Makeup4Sisters' spokesperson, no registrations will be taken by phone. Ramos explained, "We know that Nivea already has a big following and we want to insure that everyone has an equal chance to win. We've recently gained a strong following of patrons who mirror the demographics of Nivea's customer base."

Marie McMillian, a board member and member of the founding family of Makeup4Sisters.Com stated, "We're delighted that Jive Records, which has such a big presence in our community, is further stimulating black enterprise by working with our company. We hope our customers will "make-up to music" everyday!"

Michelle McDevitt, President of Audible Treats Ltd, who is managing the promotion on behalf of Jive offered, "This strategic partnership allows us to promote Nivea's new album via a fun-filled promotional contest. So, Stay tuned and keep your websites turned on!"

The ultimate question: Can a beautiful songtress have a "career in beauty?" From the looks of it...that's a yes!
