1) BASIC OVERVIEW OF THE GAME.

Links new adventure begins after many years of waging war in Hyrule, and it all begins by looking for a good friend of his from the previous Zelda game. That good friend is not Navi but the Happy mask man. Well actually, the real game begins when you are transformed into a deku person, because the skull kid, wearing Majoras Mask (which he stole from the Happy mask man). After about a minute our so you will find your best friend and he will ask you to retrieve the mask stolen from him (?). Now as you leave the clock you come upon a place called clock town, where now you have time against you,(I'll explain later)and you can't do very much because your a deku (sucks to be you, doesn’t it). Well after you do a lot of stuff you can actually retrieve the item stolen from you, (doh my ocarina) and warp back in time. Once you do that, your best friend will heal you by teaching you the SONG OF HEALING, which it turns you back into normal link. You can do many new things, like get past those guards (you know, the ones that go clank, clank, clank as you go buy them). Any ways you may want to go deposit, any money you have (ummmmm, I’ll explain that too, don't worry so much). Now it is time for me to explain a few things so pay attention or else you will be stuck.

2) HEART PIECES.

You are probably saying to yourself "where do I increase my health". Well you can now say that it no sweat because i have it covered for you. You can get a heart piece when you go fight majora's mask. Each temple boss gives you one full container (so you don't need to collect four pieces to get one more life added to your thing). In total, there are 52 heart pieces, excluding the ones above. You will receive a heart piece by defeating certain bosses, playing games, helping other people, or just lying around certain places where you expected not to be there. You will eventually, after completing the game, the rough estimate of life you could have is 26 little hearts (wow).

3) MASKS.

Now we get into the fun part, yes the fun part of this game. In this game, there are a total of 20 regular masks (?), and 4 transformation masks. With the 20 regular masks, I will explain now. The skull kid has placed many people in masks and your job is to heel all of the people who have been put into them. After you free them, the mask will become yours and now you can use them as a disguise. Now the transformation masks are those of three races: Deku, Goron, and Zora. You will need these masks to fight the first three temples. Now i said there was four transformations mask, well the last one is the giants mask (which makes link 10x the normal size) and can only be used to fight the lost temple boss. i have found that certain mask will make certain people say certain things, and some masks are pointless because they do nothing for you. Certain songs like SONG OF AWAKENING, GORONS LULLABY, and THE NEW WAVE BOSA are some songs that have certain purposes, like opening temples (doh, I said to much). Well now, lets get to some fun stuff.

4) OWL STATUES.

Now the purpose of the statues is to make the game much easier and of course faster. When you become normal link you can hit the statues to make there wings span and your game will be automatically saved. In addition, when in need of money you can warp to certain statues by playing the SONG OF SOARING, and you are transported with out loosing any time. These are particular useful when you need to complete certain thing at certain periods during the game.

5) BOSSES

Now there are four bosses that you must be to clear the temple and gain there masks (which in time you can use to hold the moon up) and brand spanking new heart container. Now i have actually have gotten three of the four guardian masks and I still have one more to get. The bosses are in order from the first temple to the fourth temple:

ODOLWA:
This boss is maybe the hardest boss to be if you do not have many arrows and the BUNNY HOOD. This boss is probably 209x taller then link (YIKES!) but don't worry because all you need to do is Z-target him and fire an arrow at his face (be careful, he will block some of your shots) and when he gets stunned, run at him and slash his legs as many times as you can before he jumps up. Watch him and run away when he is about to fall on you. Repeat this process four-five times and you'll be able to say these exact words "Wow, I have just taken a twenty foot giant and shredded him to pieces" to your younger sibling, who's mouth is wide open in amazement.

GOHT: This is one ugly cow goat thing; he is probably the easiest boss to beat. Go into his room, fire a fire arrow at him when he dethaws transform into Goron Link, and use the spike role to roll after him. Once he starts throwing major artillery such as bombs and lighting and sharp rocks he's nearly dead, oh and don't worry about magic there are oh some 300 jars on the round course. Once he's dead go collect the mask and heart container and get going.

NOTE: If you wish to change something at any time that you can only do once you've defeated a boss just go back to the temple of you're choice and step on the block that is glowing and it will ask you if you want a rematch with the boss.
Note: I cannot give you information on the last two.

6) FAIRIES.

Now in North clock town, there is a fairy fountain with little fairies dancing about, well in each temple there are 15 fairies in each, with combined there are 60 fairies to rescue. When you get all 15, there is a fairy fountain nearby that you can take them to but only certain colors will go with the colors in the fountain. Once you have collected all the fairies in one temple, you will get magic meter upgrades. If you rescue all of the fairies, then you will get the BIG FAIRY SWORD.

7) RETURNING SONGS & MORE SONGS.

Some of the songs from the previous Zelda game are back:

SONG OF STORMS
There are also new songs that are CAPATIALIZED through out my review.

8) TEMPLES & TEMPLE LOCATION.

Now at each exit from clock town are the entrances to the temples. The Temples are located as follows:
THE SWAMP
DEATH MOUNTAIN
GREAT BAY
IKANA CANNON
The temple names are as follows:
WOODFALL TEMPLE
SNOWHEAD TEMPLE
GREAT BAY TEMPLE
STONE TOWER TEMPLE
Now in each temple there are hidden switches, fake walls, items, enemies, mini-bosses, water, land, snow, invisible platforms and yes the final boss. Each temple requires you to use a certain SONG as a certain PERSON. So it will take you a little bit of time to figure which PERSON and which SONG you will need to open.

9) BOMBERS NOTEBOOK

Now with this notebook you can keep track of what people want you to do for them. One such item in this book is the "Anji and Kafie" event. This is mandatory because you need to do this to get a different ending.

10) TIME SYSTEM

Now accompanied in this game are "72 hours until the moon drops on the town" which means that very every minute you take in your home you take one hour away from the 72 orignal hours. As soon as get your ocarina back you can use it in two ways: one by playing the SONG OF TIME, to warp back to the first day. Second you can play the SONG OF DECOMPRESSION, which slows your time down. Don't worry when you are talking to people or selecting items from your inventory because time will be puased for you.

11) UPGRADES

In this game there are many upgrades to get. One of them is gettin a meter bar updates from the four Great Fairys, another is getting the MIRROR SHEILD, and the other known i can think of his your SWORD. Each of the upgrades requires some process to get them, and in time when fighting bosses you will have no sweat doing it.

12) MONEY

Now your wondering after the first time you warped back in time all of your rupees were gone. Well fear not fellow warriors, as the game comes equipped with your very own bank. After about 200 rupees you will receive the ADULTS WALLET, which allows you to carry upto 200 rupees. Each time you want to go back in time, just depoist all of your rupees and they well be there for you when you get back.

13) WEAPONS

Now we as you seen there are words LIKE THIS. Well they are part of your weaponry, and but there is a castch. When you go back in time all weapons that require a maxium are lost and you must go out and find them again. Each weapon can only be used by a certain link, so transformed into one and see your artillery for the person.

14) SECRETS

I will tell you one thing only, but do send me e-mails about more secrets, I will return your letter to you. Any ways the big secret that i wanted to tell you is that epona, your horse is easy to get so don't fear about not seeing your horse again.

15) MY COMMENTS

It was fun playing this game and wrighting this review for those begginers. Now your probably wondering is there anymore going to be added to these review, well zelda fans i can say that yes there will be because i have not beaten the game yet. I will post the scores once everyweek with a date beside it, with the order of who is winning. The question will be based on your zelda knoledge. This game will go on this reveiw twice a week for four weeks, and the player with the most points wins.
