Peter Hutchinson and archaeology
Peter A. Hutchinson is a native of Maine and a graduate student in historical archaeology at the University of Maine, Orono.
A graduate of Columbia College, he holds advanced degrees from American University in Washington, DC (MPA), and University of Maryland, College Park (MA).
His archaeological field experience includes Mount Vernon, Virginia (grist mill distillery site under Denis Pogue); Goddard Farm at Naskeag Point, Brooklin, Maine (under Steven Cox); Damarascotia (Maine) shell heaps (under Arthur Spiess); 1630s St.George River settlement, Cushing, Maine (under Alaric Faulkner); 1607 Fort St. George at Popham, Maine (under Jeffrey Brain); and his current research project, the 1830s Lime Concern at the Basin in Phippsburg, Maine.
