It's a good idea to obtain a copy of your credit report before you start house hunting. You may find an error that needs attention and could prevent loan approval. Order your credit report by sending a check made payable to Diablo Funding Group, 6600 Koll Ctr Parkway, Suite 150, Pleasanton, CA 94566. You will receive your copy of your 3-bureau credit report and we will review the contents with you.
You can begin to gather your papers for the lender that will need copies of the last 2 years' federal tax returns and W-2's. Copies of all pages of your bank statements for the last 3 months (24 months if self-employed) and retirement statement. You're ready to start exploring the housing market and shopping for a mortgage.
