Who are the Brothers of St. Charles Lwanga?
The Borhters of St. Charles Lwanga (Bannakaroli Brothers) are a Catholic Religious Order who consecrate their lives to God with the three vows: Chastity, Poverty, and Obedience.
This Order was founded in 1927 by the late Archbishop Henry Streicher (Pere Stensela), one of the first White Fathers to come to Africa as missionaries South of the Sahara; and it is the most outstanding African Religious Order of Brothers in Africa. Their mother house is at Kiteredde Masaka Diocese in Uganda a country of Martyrs.
These Religious men, who have consecrated their lives to God, represent their Uganda burnt Martyrs to whom we refer as the African Holocausts. The name Bannakaroli bears the connotation of "Banna" which means "Those of Karoli." "Karoli" means Charles a name given to Lwanga-the leader of these Saints during the holocaust at Namugongo where 16 younger men were burnt alive by king Mwanga.
This is an order of teaching and technician Brothers who educate the youths in Primary, Secondary, Technical and Teacher Training Colleges and other High Institutions. These brothers are doing their best to foster the Church in Africa and especially in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.

GOD ALONE
God has been on a search lately looking for men to go in the field for the harvest is getting so great. He has been in the churches only to find that there are fewer men than he imagined. He took a ride in the subway and men in these trains were either sleeping or discussing baseball and football. Some were far spent into the ladies that were seated accross them. When he called no one responded for many were so involved. When he hissed, many could not hear 'cause they had spent the whole night in bars. They were all dozing with the morning brew.
