The 2006 LC Riders' Mid South Gathering.
Greetings! On behalf of Toby and Joel, welcome to the web home for the 2006 Mid-South Gathering!
The idea for this gathering was hatched after we found out there were no events planned for Pigeon Forge or out west in 2006. Even though there is now going to be Smokin' in the Smokies IV, we are still hosting a gathering in Arkansas from June 26 to June 29! We will be based at the Hub complex, which is located in the heart of the Ozark Mountains, in a quiet area known as Marble Falls. We hope a few folks will show up and join us in riding some of the great roads northwest Arkansas has to offer!
We are planning on the following:
-1- Day One - Monday - everyone gathers at the Hub that afternoon. We hope to burn some dogs and burgers that evening, swap stories, hang out and just meet and greet.
-2- Day Two - Tuesday - The Nightingale - ride to Mammoth Spring State Park and back.
-3- Day Three - Wednesday - The Mockingbird - nice riding, shopping in Eureka Springs and for those so inclined, they can stop at Saunders, the Onyx Cave, or whatever on the rebound. Some may even stay in ES for the Passion Play or head to Branson, MO which is close...
-4- Day Four Thursday - The Hummingbird - A nice, scenic loop through the mountains and valleys of Central Arkansas.
-5- Day Five - Friday - depart for home!
The planned rides are suggestions only - Toby and I are mostly 'Flower Sniffers' so if there is a group that wants to split out on their own and ride somewhere else that interests them, by all means, do it! The rides will not be 'guided tours' - rather we'll pass out maps at the motel in the AM and in the afternoons, we'll gather back at the HUB to trade stories, lies and recap the day! This is going to be a laid-back few days of riding, seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

-Lodging- The Hub has a 60 Room Motel.
They have started a reservation page for the Mid South LC Gathering and will give a 15% discount on the rooms, and a 10% discount on meals in the restaurant. $40 for double, $55 for King. Less our discount.

-Dining- A full Service Restaurant on the premises is open 6 days a week from 7am - 7pm., Fri. & Sat 7am through 9pm. Closed on Mondays.
-Roads-The HUB is located just off of Arkansas State Scenic Highway 7 on Highway 7 Spur. It is a short 3 miles from the Buffalo National River which boasts some of the best canoeing and most beautiful hiking trails. They are just a half mile from one of the most beautiful caves in the country, Mystic Caverns. From The HUB's central location, day Trips are possible to all points of interest in the N.W. Arkansas and S.W. Missouri.
