Being An Elf
Calm waters,
Cool breeze,
Gliding along with wonderful ease,
Birds sing through the trees,
Silent grace.
Meandering,
Filling the lake,
Thinking of whom I dare not speak.
Walking along the water's edge,
I stare into the sky,
I begin to cry.
Tears of joy,
Ones of sorrow,
Confused this day,
Wishing for the morrow.
Being an Elf,
Not a blessing,
Not a curse,
This is how I end
the verse.
