Welcome to the Logos Int'l page!

Logos Int'l was founded in Lubumbashi, in 1994, by Reverend Kabila Mukombi.

Incorporation as a Non-Profit Organization by the Ministry of Justice in 1996 ( Arrêté Ministériel # 210).

Our philosphy

Africa is, traditionally, considered as a pagan land. Foreign missionaries in need of support have helped such an image to be kept in the mind of many in the rest of the World. It is true that there are many non-Christian in Africa, certainly less than in many countries believed to be Christian. However, the reality is that the Church is growing fast in Africa.

Therefore, as reminded by Hebrews 6.1,

"... leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection ...,"

Logos International ASBL (that is the French for "Non-Profit Organization"), has chosen to go beyond the traditional clichés, such as Dark Africa, Heathen lands of Africa, and so on, in order to strive for maturity.

Our Purpose

The purpose of LOGOS INT’L is to extend the Kingdom of God through

Evangelism & church planting,
Christian Education,
Worship,
Foreign Mission,
Biblical & Theological Training,
General Education,
Training for Ministry,
Community Development,
Chaplaincy,
Women Ministries,
Youth Ministries,
Children Ministries,
Literature Production & Distribution,
Media Ministries,
Arts,
Orphanages & Aged Ministries,
Leisure,
Representing foreign & International Christian Organizations, and
Cooperation with other churches and christian organizations for the sake of the Gospel.

Our Achievements

We have already planted 21 churches in the province of Katanga. We are in the process of planting 5 more.

We are involved, at various levels, in the above ministries, except General education, Media, Orphans & aged Ministries, Leisure. Needs are huge: spiritual, physical & emotional.

How do We Get Ministry Resources?

We have, so far, worked, mainly, with our own resources, which is very small. We have been perosnally working and also "receiving from Macedonia in order to serve Corinth." In this respect, for the last years (1994-1998), our friends from Brethren assemblies, especially Te Atatu Bible Chapel (Auckland, New Zealand), First Baptist Church of Hollywood (California, USA), Hye Sung Presbyterian Church (Seoul, South Korea), and the late Mum Helen Wessel, Bookmates Int’l (California, USA) have been a real blessing.

Now, as we need to engage in other areas of ministry, the situation is worse than before. Needs have become more important than before. Either we face them either we quit. And that is not our option, neither yours. That is the reason why, being the more committed to implementing our vision, we want to open up through allowing other people to participate in our ministry.
