AFSCME Local # 1031 represents the Public Works Employees for the City of Rapid City, South Dakota. Currently we represent about 250 employees that work for the Airport, Building Inspection, Cemetery, Civic Center, Energy Plant, Finance, Landfill, Library, Meadowbrook Ops., Multiple Recycling Facility, Parks, Street, Survey, Traffic, Transportation, Utility Maintenance, Water, Water Reclamation, Civic Center Ticket Office, Code Enforcement, Collection, Computer Center, Pools, Sanitation, Solid Waste, Street Mechanics, Street Sweeper, and Water Service.
Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm at the Labor Temple, 922 E. St. Patrick Street.
