ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marney Schorr is a professional Fine Artist with 20 years of experience. Her practice includes drawing, painting, assemblage, sculpture, collage, sandtray, and set design. Her extensive series of oils and oil pastels have been exhibited in five solo shows and ten group shows in New York. Her art has been published in The Observer, Huntington Life and NAC News.

EDUCATION
Marney earned her Masters in Clincial Art Therapy at Long Island University and her Bachelors in Visual Art at Empire State College. She graduated from both with high honors.
COMMUNITY ADVOCACY
Marney maintains active involvement in her community through integration of the creative arts. She has been a community advocate in connection with Breast Cancer Inc., LI Head Injury Association, National Association for the Mentally Ill, Pederson Krag and the Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service. Marney is currently expanding her community advocacy in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, where she has recently relocated her practice.
RESEARCH AND WRITING
Marney has conducted several research studies concerning the link between art and neuroscience. She has written four contemporary fiction novels and is currently working on an educational book in the field of art therapy.
ART THERAPY AND MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING
