or: anywhere in the world!
always put in the full address including http://
external links to separate documents/[=pages]within your own directory.
just type in the file name at the end with the extension htm, html, shtml etc.
top of the page
internal links
these are within your currently open document/ page/scroll
the link does not go straight to the word, but puts it at the top of the page.
in other words it treats it as the beginning of a section.
now try section which will now be at the top of the page
think of dog earing/ creasing a book page or putting in a paper clip
all you have to do is put a # before the anchor name
