ZELDA
MAJORAS MASK
A LITTLE DEJA VU!
This masterful game spans over a three day period in which Link will continue to live through several times. He must help the peole of Termina before the dreaded moon collides with Termina! Once Link enters the center of Termina, a city called Clock Town, the race against time will begin. However looking through your items screens will stop the clock for a while! A bit a bad news is that Princees Zelda will not make a physical appearance but here gift the Ocarina of Time will play a major roll! All the people in Termina will be doing different things throughout the day. You must learn this schedule to complete all the tasks. Unlike Ocarina of Time Link will constantly be on the run but don't worry all you people who like to meander through different towns like me you will be able to do that.
ANOTHER DIMENSION
This Zelda Chronicle begins three months after Link valiantly fought against Ganondorf. Link is riding his beloved Epona through the mysterious Lost Woods when she is startle by a masked Skull Kid and his two fairies. They capture Epona and run away with Link following. Ofcourse doesn't know what he is getting himself into. The Skull Kid is possessed by the legendary Majoras Mask and is not working on his own will. Using these endless powers Link is turned into a Deku Scrub in the new world!
LIVING AS A SCRUB
Link is now facing a challenge like no other. He has to live not as the Hero of Time but as mangy Deku Scrub. But soon Link will learn how to fight like a scrub! To do the Deku Spin Attack press the A button. An advantage of being a Deku Scrub is that you can fly for a limited amount of time! To do this find and stand on a Deku Flower and Hold A.When alot of pollen comes out release A to go soaring in the air!
CLOCK TOWN
After Link travels through a portal he finds himself in town called the Clock Town. This town is filled with people whom he knew in his homeland of Hyrule! Due to the evil of the Majoras Mask all the people of the town live their lives in horror. Their world has changed a lot and they need Link to help them a ton. Don't think that that is the hardest part of the game because their are a lot dungeons outside of town. In this twon Link meets the Mask owner who tells him that he has the power to transform him back to the Link we all know if he can recover the Ocarina. GOOD NEWS! If you help a person in the three day period when you go back in time you won't have to help them for the same reason.
THE CRAZY FAIRIES
To help some of the local fairies you will have to go to the North part of the Clock Town. To reach the fairy fountain you will have to enter the cave by the fanced in area. Inside the Fountain some of the fairies will ask you to find the stray fairy that will allow them to become one Great Fairy. Once you help them they will help you.
FINDING THE FAIRY
During the day time the fairy to be found will be floating above a stream at the Laundry pool. As a Deku you can skip across the water to rescue it. Watch out if it takes you five tries chances are you don't deserve to play the game so you will drown.
At night this fairy will be in the Easts Clock Towers Courtyard. Use the neighboring Deku flower to fly to it.
THE GIFT!
Once you have rescued the stray fairy you must return it to the Fairy Fountain. Once all the fairies are together they will turn into a Great Fairy, who will be able to heal herself. Due to your heroic efforts the Great Fairy will reward you by granting you the power of Magic and let you spit bubbles out of your Deku Snout!
GANG OF BOMBERS
Well we have the Legion of SuperHeroes and the Clock Town has the Bombers Gang. This gang wonders the streets of Clock Town in search of people that they can help. Since you feel that you are a lot like them you will want to join their gang but they will not let you, sorry. However, they will give you the secret code their hideout. In North Clock Town a guy named Jim will let you in.
A LITTLE HELP JIM
The leader Jim cannot pop a floating baloon wiht his beloved blow gun but I am so sure that you can, so press B to aim at it and press B again to fire.
I WAS WRONG!
I am sorry that I got your hopes up but I was wrong, actually I wasn't wrong but it wasn't as easy as it sounded to get the secret code to enter the Bombers hideout. You have to find all five of them by sunrise. If you chase after them they will surely hide under a crate, but wouldn't you.
II. Kokiri Forest and the Great Deku Tree
------------------------------------------------
After all of the cinema has finished playing out, you will have gained mastery over Link's actions.
Go out and start exploring Kokiri Forest and talking to everyone to get a feel for how the game works.
Things of interest:
Your house keeps your game's side-quest records.
In Mido's House you receive 2 blue rupees, a green rupee, and a heart.
Saria's house gives you four hearts.
Jump over the four platforms in the water near the Kokiri Shop to earn a blue rupee.
Explore mossy bushes to receive 2 green rupees.
The Know-It-All Brothers will teach you how to control the different features of the game.
Go up the side of Saria's house and cross the bridge for a blue rupee.
Travel east to head toward the Great Deku Tree, however, Mido is blocking the path until you equip a shield and a sword.
The shield is easy. It is in the Kokiri's Shop (red-roof house). It costs 40 rupees. I have lead you already to find 30 rupees (though if you enter and exit a house you can research the moss and jump the platforms for the same amount of money).
Still, there is other ways to get money. These are on the path to get the sword.
Head to the left of the Know-It-All Brothers' house to the Kokiri Training Ground.
Walk through until you come to a wider area. In front of another Kokiri is a rock. Z-target it and do a backflip to receive a blue rupee. (Do a few more tricks around the other two rocks and if you do some impressive stunts you will receive 2 green rupees.)
Consult the sign near a hole to learn how to enter it. Go through the Hole of 'Z'. As soon as you are through, go right to find another blue rupee.
Turn around and go to the left of the hole. Be careful! There's a rolling boulder! Turn right as sson as possible and follow the path until you can take another right. This is just a small niche but you will find another blue rupee. Turn and continue back down the path until you can take another right, again. You will see a chest this time. Open it and receive the Kokiri's Sword. (Don't forget to equip it!)
Follow the path out and go back out the hole.
Go out of the training ground. -One more thing. The first sign that teaches you the thrust attack...use the attack on the sign and it will reward you with a blue rupee.
Now you should have more than enough rupees to buy the shield! So, go and do so, and don't forget to equip it.
Go retalk with Mido and he'll let you through!
As you make your way through the 'tunnel', you will come across your first monster. Relax! AS long as you don't touch this rotten version of Deku Baba, it can't hurt you. Kill it for a Deku Stick every time. (Word of caution! Rotten Deku Babas will regenerate after a few seconds.)
Go forth and talk to the Great Deku Tree!
Enter your first dungeon!
III. Inside the Deku Tree
------------------------------
When you first enter, you will come across your second monster. Deku Baba...uhh, this one isn't rotten nor does it regenerate after you have killed it. And it attacks!! Shield against its snaps and attack when you can. If you stun it and kill it, you will get a Deku Stick, if you don't, you will get a Deku Nut. There are 3 of them on this floor.
Notice the webbing in the middle of the floor. Now, there are two ways to get up to the next level. A vine covered wall that you can climb or a ladder. Doesn't matter which you choose, just go up and go right.
You will come to a chest and another vine covered wall. First get the chest that contains the map. Ignore the wall for the moment since you can't kill the Skullwalltulas. Continue right. You will come to a door. Go through.
You will meet your next monster, the Deku Scrub. Stand away, Z-targeting, and allow its nuts to hit your shield to bounce back and hit it. It will jump out of its bed and you will have to do some slight chasing (don't let it go back into its hole or you will have to start over). When you catch it, it will give you a helpful hint and a heart piece. The door will now open (when a door is opened, Link will always turn to face the one you did not come through, yet).
Go through the door and jump across to the platform and then the ledge. The platform will fall. If you fall with it, no worries, just climb up the vines on either side of the ledge. Open the chest on the ledge to receive the slingshot!
Face the door and Navi will fly up to something hanging above the doorway. Z-target and fire a deku seed (amo form the slingshot) at it. It will fall down and reveal that is is a ladder you can climb up to go out.
Go out. Go out, again. Go right to the vine covered wall and shoot down the Skullwalltulas and climb to the next level. Look out for the Big Skulltulas as you go right to the next door.
Press down the floor switch to lift up platforms and go across the room to the chest. You get the compass. (If you need a Deku Stick, there is a rotten Deku Baba to the right). Jump off the ledge. To exit the room use a Deku Stick and light it in the nearby brazier and light the exstinguished torch. Go out.
Go to one of the Big Skulltulas and kill it (hit its soft underbelly when it turns around.) Use Up-C to position yourself to face the ledge. Jump off AND DON'T TOUCH ANY BUTTON!! You will fall and break through the webbing on the floor near the entrance of the dungeon and will fall down to the Basement's first floor. (If you miss, climb back up and try again.)
Go to the higher ledge and you will find a floor switch. Press it to light a brazier. If you need a Deku Stick, go stun and kill the nearby Deku Baba on the adjacent platform. Light a stick and run to that platform and to the large web in the corner. The web will catch on fire and burn away revealing a door. (When you are rushing to the door, make sure you jump into the shallow part of the water or you will jump into the deep end and exstinguish your make-shift torch.) Go through the door.
Kill the Deku Scrub and he'll give you a valuable code as well as a heart, but the door won't open this time. Look above the barred door and you will see an Eye Switch. Shoot a seed at it and the door will open. Go through.
In this room go left and jump into the water. Hug that wall and you will find a Floor Switch. Dive to press it. Get back onto land and use the platform to safely cross under the spike roller. (Careful, it is a timed switch!) Jump into the next platform and kill the Big Skulltula. Pull the block as far as it will go and jump up to reach the door. Go through.
Light a Stick from the brazier and light the two torches to open the door. (If you need a Stick there is one Deku Baba and 2 rotten Deku Babas.) Go through the door.
Kill the Big Skulltula. Look up at the ceiling with the sling and shoot the three eggs you see. Light a stick from the brazier (once again there is a rotten Deku Baba) and run to the web without the Deku Baba behind it and burn it away. Go through the tunnel.
Stop and look around! You will notice a web in the floor, 2 Deku Babas and 1 rotten Deku Baba. To your left is a block. Push the block off the ledge. (If you notice, you are in the first room of B1 again!) Use the block to reach the brazier. Light a stick and rush back to the webbed floor. You will need to swing the stick down by pressing the C-button that holds the stick. If done right, the web will catch and brun away. Drop down to B2.
Head to land and you will notice a blocked door and three Deku Scrubs. Remember the code? 231? First stun the middle Deku Scrub, then the eastern one, last the western. (Don't worry about their nuts hitting you.) If done right, the 1st will try to run. If this one makes it back to its bed you will have to redo the code. When you catch it, it will give you a tip on how to kill Queen Gohma, give you a heart, and open the door to Gohma's lair.
Boss: Queen Gohma
-------------------------
When you enter, run through the tunnel. The door will slam shut and will trap you in. Up-C to find Gohma on the ceiling and waiit until she sees you. (The battle won't start until she sees you.) When she does, introductions will be made and the battle will commense.
She will first sit back and start at you with a red eye ready to spring. Notice that red eye? Shot a seed at her to stun her longer than with a nut. When she is down, attack! Remember the jump attack does double damage, but don't waste time position for that. Try one or two and frantically slash at her eye.
She will get back up. Keep her Z-targeted and follow her up as she climbs to the ceiling. She will stop and her eye will turn red. Unheeded, she will give birth to three babies, but shoot another seed into her eye and she will fall. Once again frantically swipe! This time, though, the battle should end if you got enough hits in at each attack, otherwise, just continue the process.
-------------------------
Grab the Heart Container and enter the warp. Watch and read the following cinema as the Great Deku Tree reveals more of the story-line.
When it is finally over you receive the Kokiri's Emerald or the Spiritual Stone of the Forest.
IV. Hyrule Field and the Princess of Destiny
-------------------------------------------------
Once you have bid your last farewells to the Deku Tree, it will be time to make your way out to the fated land of Hyrule, outside of Kokiri Forest. You will find the exit in the west part of the Forest.
However, Saria is waiting for you on your bridge to destiny. She will give you your first Ocarina as she bids farewell to you: the Fairy Ocarina. This will be one of your more prized possessions.
Finally you will be outside. As you make your way out of the little mountain crevice, you will come upon a new character to the story. The owl Kaepora Gaebora. He will give you some insight on what's ahead of you and mostly adds more to the features of the game.
When he has stopped chattering and flies off, it will be time for you to explore Hyrule.
