Treating Crohn's Disease With Low Dose Naltrexone

Greetings!

Naltrexone is a medication approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration for treating drug and alcohol addiction. In very low doses, it has been found amazingly helpful in treating Crohn's disease--with minimal side effects and at a price anyone can afford.

In addition to endoscopic evidence of improvement in Crohn's lesions using Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN), this site explains what LDN is and how it works:

In a recent study conducted by Dr. Jill Smith, 67% of patients taking LDN experienced total symptom remission, and 89% experienced at least some improvement in their condition. For more information about the study, visit

A substantially larger clinical trial of LDN for Crohn's is currently enrolling participants, as is a five-month study of LDN in the treatment of Crohn's in children. For more information about these studies, contact Sandra Bingaman, R.N., at 717-531-8108.

The health benefits of LDN in humans was pioneered by a now retired New York physician named Dr. Bernard Bihari, who successfully treated a number of Crohn's sufferers with LDN. For details about Dr. Bihari's work with Crohn's patients, read the paragraph under the heading "Crohn's Disease" at

In my opinion, LDN shows great promise as a treatment for Crohn's disease and merits most careful consideration.
