Laurel Mountain Old-Fashioned Soap was created in 1997 in SW Pennsylvania, starting as a hobby and growing every year. We were invited to join the Greater Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival in 2000 as a vendor. We enjoyed many years there and sadly it closed in June of 2006. Fortunately for us and all 'Rennies', it reopened in 2007.
We are now doing 'The Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival and carefully chosen shows & festivals. We also take email and phone orders. We are also proud to be a member of the 'Hancrafted Soapmaker's Guild'.
We pride ourselves in having not only nicely scented fun soaps, but have a line of healing emu products. Emu oil is soothing to those with exema or psoriasis. We also have salves with shea butter, sea buckthorn oil, Tea Tree Oil and Neem Oil. Neem is an interesting oil from India that is healing, anti fungal, repells insects, and much more. Our 'Harley Dog Soap' is made with Neem oil and herbs. It helps with hot spots, repels fleas and makes your dog smell great for days after shampooing.
We have many herbal soaps, perfume oils, colognes, salves, sea salts and more.
Some best sellers are emu oatmeal soap, patchouli soap, red currant tea, red clover tea, precious amber perfume oil and many more.
Some new scents for the Ren Fest will be 'Black Orchid', 'Dragon's Breath', new berry scents, neroli scents, 'Vanilla Fig' and many more.
