BabyCakes by Wendi are baby shower gifts containing diapers and other baby sundries a new mom can use in baby's first few weeks of life.
Each babycake is assembled with care to look like a real cake, but it's not edible. They include diapers, bath sundries, a receiving blanket, feeding spoons, pacifiers, socks, and is topped off with a safety rubber ducky. Special themes can be requested, such as the Classic Pooh theme above.
Cakes can be made in 2, 3 or even 4 layers and a special one layer BabyCupCake is also available. Colors can be pink for a girl, blue for a boy, or yellow, purple, or green. Colors can also be requsted to match baby's nursery. Here is what new mommies have said about their BabyCakes:

"When I received the babycake from Wendi, I was blown away! I had never seen anything like it and the whole school staff wanted to know "who made that?" I took the babycake home and my husband said, "You mean I can't eat it?"
Our first son, James, was born that night (three weeks early). My husband and I were not ready for him because we did not have all of the necessities, so we thought. I was worried that we did not have diapers, pacifiers, socks, etc... When we came home with our new bundle of joy my husband said, "Let's take apart the babycake for some diapers." WHAT? I was devastated at the thought of taking it apart. After discussion we decided that the babycake was made for use and although it was so delicious and beautiful looking, we needed those items! Needless to say, the babycake was a life saver and sweet baby James was so happy to have it.
Praise the Lord, we had Joseph 18 months later and Wendi gave him a babycake. The best part about this story is that his babycake is still mostly together on a shelf in his room. I guess it is difficult to take apart something that is so well put together!
