With it's rich diversity, and cultural background, Srilanka is a unique country which has produced a vast array of cricketing legends, and the spirit of this Island must be admired. Cricketers from this tiny Island maintains a big presence in the world of Cricket at present. Being granted the ICC test status since 1982, the nation have leap frogged many established countries before them at world cricket, and now Srilanka remains one of the best teams in the world. Srilankans don't like their Cricket, but they love it!
Lankan Kings will be making it's debut this season playing for BCMCL (British Columbia Mainland Cricket League) in Vancouver, Canada. Team is led by Nishad Thowfeek who is a legend in Fraser Valley in the lower mainland.
Lannkan Kings have already attracted the cream of Srilankan talent in the lower mainland, who are gunning to make a big impression in the Canadian cricket History this year. They'll be vying for Division IV title this year in BCMCL, and are looking to go from strength to strengh.
Watch out for these lot, and if you happen to play cricket in the lower mainland for a league, don't be surprised if your team is upstaged by these lot, who are determined to make their mark. Go on the , you have just been crowned.
