- The effects and reasons for making groups in class

How were the interviews conducted?
-Half-hour interviews with 17 teachers
-Teachers have students in Jr. high school or below
-They can comment on previous positions teaching children
-Teachers commented on:
Cram schools
Chain conversation schools
Teaching at their own conversation schools
Public elementary and Jr. high schools
All-English kindergartens
Day care centers (hoikuen) with 70 students at a time and parents helping to keep the peace
Teaching one-year-olds, where the children havenft yet learned their native language
Private Jr. high schools with no JTE.
