Welcome to my homepage! My name is Karrin Kolanoski, and I am a second grade teacher at Woodward North located in Duluth, Georgia. I have been teaching since 1993.

Biographical Information
I am a native of Atlanta and now live in Marietta. I was born at Georgia Baptist Hospital, and I grew up in Riverdale, Georgia. My parents, Jim and Arlene, now live in Whitesburg, Georgia with their two cats, two dogs, and cockatoo. My sister, Kristin, lives in Flagstaff, Arizona where she is working on her Master's Degree in forestry at The University of Northern Arizona. She is also a Woodward Academy alumni.
Educational Background
In 1989, I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism majoring in public relations from The University of Georgia. After graduation, I became the marketing communications specialist with the Northwest Georgia Girl Scout Council, Inc. in Atlanta. In 1992, I attended Georgia State University where I completed the Alternative Preparation Program for teachers and received a Master of Education degree in 1993.
Hobbies and Interests
My hobbies include tennis, running, snow skiing, hiking and mountain bike riding, traveling, reading, and dining with friends. I ran three marathons (in Vermont, Chicago, and San Diego). I also enjoy playing in a handbell choir at my church, Lutheran Church of the Redeemer located in Atlanta. I am also an ALTA tennis team player.
My dream is to visit Australia where I would love to dive on the Great Barrier Reef and hike and bike in the Outback!
