The Ole' Country Church

The Ole' Country Church

The beginnings of a brand new country/western style church.

Pastor Kenneth Burisek and family, with the help of a number of area families has begun a new Full Gospel Country Style Church in the Medford, Wisconsin area. The past few years, the Burisek family has travelled throughout Wisconsin, into Michigan, Illinois, and Minnesota sharing God's love at churches of many different denominations, through testimonies, evangelism, and puppetry.

The Burisek family has lived in the Medford area since 1962 and operated a dairy farm and later a beef ranch for a number of years, and later operated Kritter Kountry Petting Zoo, and a taxidermy business .

Ken was offered a pastorate in the St.Croix Falls area with World Bible Way Fellowship, but the Burisek family felt there was a real need right here. Ken and a number of families helped to begin another new work in the area called Christ's Spirit New Hope Church in September of 2003, but Ken's calling was to begin an old-fashioned country/western style church.

On June 6th 2004 Ken stepped down as pastor of Christ's Spirit New Hope Church to have the freedom to work on the new church that is on his heart.

Country and Cowboy Churches?
Is there really a difference?
Here's the Skuttlebutt !

Country and Cowboy churches nationwide are among the fastest growing churches. They will take you a step back in time to when life was just a little less hectic and church was a delightful family experience.

Where country folks and country folks at heart, enjoy celebrating church with an easy going, down home, laid back atmosphere and a touch of real country charm.

Country and Cowboy churches don't take a 'shine' to formality, or fancy frills n' traditions ---God ain't impressed by those kinds of things---Jesus always had a way of keepin' things pretty simple.

A number of families have helped to begin a brand new country/western style church--- "THE OLE' COUNTRY CHURCH"---in the Medford area.

The church is an independant non-denominational church that is Fundamental---Bible Believing---Christ Centered---Full-Gospel---and committed to the absolute and unchanging truth of the Word of God.

Pastor Ken Burisek says, "We're a new church with a whole heap of growing to do and our desire is for everyone who comes through the doors of our church to know they're special, and are welcome to become a very real part of the family of God. Most folks don't care how much you know---until they know how much you care!"

The Ole' Country Church is a place for all those who love the Lord, Jesus Christ and our Western heritage of freedom to worship, to learn the Word of God, and to grow spiritually together. A church that stands on the absolute and infallible truth of the Word of God.

The horse, rope, hat and spurs are optional at the Ole' Country Church. We come in all shapes, sizes, ages and every walk of life. There is no pretense at The Ole' Country Church. We want everyone to know that accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior ain't just about religion...it's a way of life.

Country and Cowboy churches have an easy-going, laid-back, down-home style that makes folks feel welcome. Where people really care about one another. Where you're just as likely to hear a Yih Hah! as an Amen! Where good ole' Country Gospel Music makes the rafters ring with joy. Where Sunday School is Funday School and the Bible comes to life with puppets, plays and skits.

A re-vamped mobile home temporarily serves as our church building as we search for other options. Some folks are of the thinking that a building is the church, but the bible says the true church is inside every believer, it ain't about the building they meet in. Shucks, Jesus Himself never had a church building, His followers met on hillsides and under trees, not in fancy manmade cathedrals!

Whether you're looking to become a part of an exciting new church or just come for a visit, everyone is welcome at the Ole' Country Church. Putting people in touch with our God of Hope.

We also enjoy bringing in country and gospel singing groups for concerts as a gift to the area for folks to enjoy and hope to bring in special speakers and christian entertainers as well.

We welcome our brothers and sisters in Christ from other churches to come and enjoy our special events and we encourage our members to enjoy events other area churches may sponsor.

Whether you come for a visit or have a desire to become a part of an exciting new church, y'all are welcome to celebrate church with us! Expect the unexpected, the difference just may surprize you!

Church location---take Highway 13 south 2 miles from Medford, Wisconsin---then turn east(left) on apple avenue(airport road)---travel east 3 miles on apple to the church.

Services are Funday School 10AM---Church Service 10:30AM

Y'all come visit us real soon now, ya hear !!!

God Bless

TENANTS OF FAITH

I. THE BIBLE IS THE WORD OF GOD, verbally inspired in the original writings. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21)

II. THE HOLY TRINITY composed of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, with all power vested in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Co-existant, Eternal, Omniscient, Omnipresent and Omnipotent. (Deut. 6:4,5; Man. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; Luke 1:35; John 1:14)

Ill. THE SALVATION OF MAN. Through repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, man is saved by the washing of regeneration, whereupon he is born again, and being justified by grace, through faith, he becomes an heir of God. (John 3:3,5,7; Titus 2:11; 3:5,7 etc.) The inward evidence is a witness of the Spirit (Rom. 8:16). The outward evidence is a life of righteousness.

IV. ENTIRE SANCTIFICATION is the will of God for all believers, and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God's Word.

V. HEALING IN THE ATONEMENT. "Himself took our infinities and bore our sicknesses," and "with His stripes we are heated." (Isaiah 53:5) It is our privilege to lay hands on the sick and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord and "the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up."

VI. The baptism in and the manifestations of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49, John 7:38-39, Acts 1:5, 8, Acts 2:1-21, I Corinthians 12:1-14, 40). The Baptism with the Holy Ghost is an experience subsequent to conversion, bringing Spiritual power for Christian service. (Acts 2:4)

VII. SPIRITUAL GIFTS. If we abide in Him, it is possible to have the "signs following", and the spiritual gifts spoken of in Corinthians, operating in the Church

VIII. ORDINANCES. The Lord's supper should be observed (Luke 22:19,20; 1 Cor. 11:23-26). Water Baptism by immersion, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, according to His command, "In the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Ghost." (Matt. 28:19; 3:1 ' 5-17; Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-4) There is a great blessing to be derived from, and a wonderful lesson of love and humility taught by foot-washing, as practiced by our Lord and His disciples (John 13:4-17). "Therefore if we know these things, happy are ye if ye do them', but the practice of foot-washing may be optional with each congregation.

IX. Living a life of peace, love, joy, and holiness through the help of the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 12:14, I Corinthians 6:9-10, Collosians 3:5-6, Galatians 5:22-23).

X. Spreading the Gospel of Christ to all individuals and nations as commanded by our Lord (Matthew 28:19-20, Mark 16:15-20, John 20:21-23).

XI. The soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ to rapture us out of this world, forever to be with Him as promised (I Corinthians 15:51-58, I Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18, 5:8-11, II Thesalonians 2:6-7, Luke 21:36).

XII. THE RESURRECTION of the crucified body of our Lord. The resurrection of the just before the thousand years, and the unjust after the thousand years. (Acts 2:22-24; Rom. 8:34; Dan. 12:2,3; Rev. 20:4,5)

XIII. The second return of Jesus Christ with HIS saints at the end of the tribulation to judge the nations and set up HIS millenial reign for a thousand years (Psalms 2:1-12, Revelation 19:11-20:10, Jude 14-15).

XIIII. HEAVEN AND HELL The everlasting blessedness and award of the righteous, and the everlasting punishment of the wicked. (Matt.26:46; Rev. 2:8; Luke 16:19-25; etc.)
