HELP START A DREAM

WHAT AM I DOING?
I've decided that after too many years making money for someone else, it's time I did it for myself. I spent many years in management of some major printing firms, and the last six years managing locations for major retailers. After being discouraged by the corporate world that cares little for its' employees and even less in understanding what their customers are looking for when they walk through their doors, I know that I can do no worse and completely walked away from it all.

I'm taking over twenty years of experience with me into this project, along with a lifetime of good old-fashioned common sense. The customer focus has always been my key to sucess, and with my prior experience I am confident that we will build a very satisfied repeat customer base.

FINANCING THE OPERATION
So, why not seek out a venture capitalist or SBA loan? Quite simply, my needs are too SMALL for them! These typically look for minimums of $25,000 or more, which is far more than what I need, and not worth the hassle of all the paperwork! My initial goal to get things started is just $5,000, with another $5,000 planned for reinvestment over the next eighteen months. The growth will be slow and measured - I could start by obtaining tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, but in just starting up, the demand would not be there to justify the expense.

I have already begun working on an immediate client base from some of my previous existing customers. By having lower overhead costs and overall prices, combined with the existing customer confidence, I feel confident that we will be starting out very strong.

The expenses have been carefully planned out. In managing some of my former companies, one of my primary concerns was in purchasing and cost control. I've gone into four firms and saved the company more than twice my salary each year simply by careful selection and negotiation of services and supplies. In one case, I joined a firm and expanded the core base of services to our customers, added equipment and staff, then reduced outsourcing costs and changed supply vendors (actually obtaining a more premium product for less money!) and ended up with over $100,000 in supply SAVINGS while we showed a 42% increase in sales for the year. In short, a better product, better customer satisfaction and a higher profit margin to the bottom line. All this I'm bringing to my venture.

While this will begin as a home-based operation, my goal is to expand carefully enough over the next five years to be able to carefully consider a storefront operation. Note that I say consider -- if it isn't worth the risk, it won't be done.

DONATE TO THE CAUSE!
I'm not asking for much, really, just a buck or two. If you're doing really well and can embrace this entreprenurial spirit, add a couple bucks more. Anything would be greatly appreciated. All you have to do is click on the PayPal link on the right. You'll get a thank you letter from me, and that's it. Nothing more, no spam, no selling of the mailing list. As I noted earlier, my goal is $5,000. If you've ever had a goal or dream to run your own business, you understand where I am at.

I Thank You greatly for taking the time to read this. I wish you and your family peace, happiness and prosperity.
