I know we can't break even, much less show a profit at 7 cents a card but we want our old friends,the ones still around, and our new friends to get to know our dx qsl service and see what results you get from a really professional QSL SERVICE. For the next year we will stick to our 7 cent rate to every country in the world, TO QSL managers when they are available, and sending cards directly to stations in the rarer countries with return postage and airmail envelopes to up the odds of getting that tough one and in a speedy fashion. PLEASE SEND US THOSE BIG STACKS OF COMMON DX QSLS THAT CAN GO THROUGH THE BURO AS WE NEED TO OFFSET THE EXPENSIVE QSLing WITH THE EASY STUFF YOU WORKED IN THAT LAST CONTEST.

Here's all we ask? Send us 2 blank QSL cards for our files and send a check to cover the 7 cents per card. If you wish you can send a dollar or two extra and we will keep a running total of your cards if you plan to send less that a dollars worth at a time. It is not advisable to send cash through the mail so make your check out for a dollar at the least.

Short Wave Listeners have had a tough time with QSLing because in the last 25 years or more there has not been an organization issuing SWL STATION ID's that can identify an active and proficient SWL who can send QSL cards to Broadcast Stations, Utility Stations, Pirates and Clandestine Stations, Amateur Stations,DX TV, Satelite chasers and anyone else found on the radio spectrum.
(SWL CALLSIGNS. I am an avid Short Wave Listner, who started listening when the Old Popular Electronics had an SWL club, that issued SWL station ID's (I was WPE5FCA) and also offered awards similar to the ham radio awards but with a few extra for the other types of stations that SWL's and Scanners can QSL.
KE5TODXQSLSERVICE.COM is going to sponsor a club for people interested in any and all aspects of wireless communication, shortwave listeners, scanner enthusiests, DX TV chasers, Hams, radio astronomers, public radio & TV operators, Pirates and Pirate chasers, experimenters, etc. are all invited to join the;
PirateSWL Club
Among other projects and services, PirateSWL.org will operate SWLCALLSIGNREGISTRY.ORG, that will register and issue listening post operators (all types,) station identifiers, commonly refered to as callsigns. For simplicity, all wireless hobbiest will be referred to as SWL's and station identifiers will be called CALLSIGNS. The registered SWL CALLSIGN will be,like my own, SWLK501.
A station in Jamaica might be SWL6Y509, with SWL indicating it is a listening post and the 4th, 5th, and 6th (depending on country)letters and numbers indicating the country and zone in that country, based on the ham call designations. The last 2 or 3 numbers are specific to the individual station.
PirateSWL Club will develop an awards program, contests, training, a bulletin, newsletter and other projects as we grow.
*The cost of membership, for the first year, will be FREE.
*Registration and issuing the SWL CALLSIGN will also be FREE.
The cost of sending SWL QSL cards, with SWLCALLSIGNREGISTRY.ORG callsigns, will be 5 cents. SWL's, from countries with radio society issued SWL callsigns & SWARL members, can also send cards for 5 cents.
As a club benefit, the KE5TO DX QSL SERVICE will act as QSL manager, for registered members. Simply put "QSL via BURO to QSL Manager KE5TO" for cards going to the more common DX countries. The rarer countries and stations with qsl managers will be handled like all the other cards discussed above. A big advantage is that the DX stations will know how to get the card back to you, even if they misplace the return reply envelopes or just decide to QSL exclusively via the buro.
PirateSWL.org has a goal of establishing a world SWL buro.
SWLCALLSIGNREGISTRY.ORG will be used by every serious SWL worldwide.
SWLCALLSIGNREGISTRY.ORG will be the worlds SWL buro, making QSLing back to SWL's worldwide, a matter of one address for all the QSL's going to an SWL. This will greatly increase the odds of getting a reply
to your SWL report.
This would be a buro for all types of broadcasters
to use. Hams,Broadcasters,Utility Stations,DX TV Stations,Pirates and every station engineer will love getting your reports, and with the ease of QSLing all the SWLs at the world SWL buro, QSLs will be easy to get for every type of listener.
