KDT’s curriculum is to produce a dancer who will artistically meet the challenge of, and succeed in any professional company. To this end, each member is treated as an individual who will be nurtured and encouraged to grow at his or her own pace.
ASSEMBLY: (1:00 to 1:15pm) Be Punctual!!!
All students should be inside the classroom for roll call. Anyone who enters late must approach Tita Lee to ensure that attendance is noted.
Dancers upon arrival must get ready for the day’s activity. Each student must wear outfits appropriate for dance physical activity – dancing shoes/slippers and comfortable clothing. Do not wear excessively baggy or revealing clothing. Running/rubber shoes not allowed. Barefoot if dancing shoes is not available for the day.

WARM-UP or ADAGIO:
A series of exercises following the centre practice, consisting of a succession of slow and graceful movements, which may be simple, or of the most complex character, performed with fluidity and apparent ease. These exercises develop a sustaining power, sense of line, balance and the beautiful poise which enables the dancer to perform with majesty and grace.
IN-TANDEM or Grand Pas de deux [grahn pah duh duh]
Grand dance for two. It has a definite structure. As a general rule, dancing in tandem falls into five parts: waltz, sway balance, variation for the danseuse, variation for the danseur, and the coda (finale), in which both dancers dance together.
