Welcome to my web page, my name is John Thornton but most people call me Pete and I live in Peoria Heights, Illinois. I have a few hobbies that I enjoy, the first is Ham Radio. I hold an EXTRA class license old call was K9TWV but in 2006 I changed it to NJ9T and I am a Volunteer Examiner, it is a great hobby with great people. Some of the nets and services I enjoy are MIDCARS, and The Maritime Mobile Net
I also enjoy camping, and try to get away as much as I can. I am married to Donna and have 3 grown children, 2 girls and 1 boy, that have provided me with 6 grand children, 2 boys and 4 girls to spoil.
I enjoy working HF radio, mostly 40 and 75 meters, I am past Director of MIDCARS, and Past President and Master Degree Holder #55 of The 3905 Century Club.
