The sabbath still needs to be Saturday, the seventh
day. Here is why. Many people use some texts to
say that we are free from the law. Here they are.
"God did by sending his own Son in the likeness
of sinful man to be a sin offering. And so he
condemned sin in sinful man, in order that the
righteous requirements of the law might be fully
met in us, who do not live according to the sinful
nature but according to the Spirit."Romans 8:3,4
This is talking about the law set for Israel such
as the passover and other religious festivals.
There are two laws. The Ten Commandments, and
the law I just mentioned. So see, when Christ
died and fullfilled the law, it was the old
testament law for Israel. Here is another text
that shows that old law.
This is a requirement of the law that the LORD has
commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red
heifer without defect or blemish and that has never
been under a yoke. Numbers 19:2
So there you have it, the old law. However, here is
a text that talks about the new law.
All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart
from the law, and all who sin under the law will be
judged by the law. Romans 2:12
Ah ha! The Ten Commandments is mentioned here.
I know this becasue the Ten Commandments is the law
that we are to be judged by. So two laws. The Ten
Commandments is by no means not valid anymore. And
We fail to realize that the sabbath commandment(#4)
is the only one that begins with the word remember.
