This website was first created out of agonizing heartache and an unbearable anger for the cruel injustice to my daughter, Bethany Deanna Tucker who lost her life the morning of Sunday, July 27, 2008. Her lifeless body was discovered hanging only feet away from the back door of her residence in Mason County, West Virginia.
Being a proud mother of three beautiful children, one of which was less than 2 months old and having made plans to do something special with her 9 yr old daughter that week, scheduling herself a dental appointment and eagerly looking forward to her 30th birthday that same week, she showed no indication of being in a depressed state of mind and contemplating suicide as her boyfriend claimed to officers. I use the word boyfriend lightly due to the fact it has been learned he was physically abusive to her on several occasions(including the night leading to her death) and the fact he had moved on to a new girlfriend in a matter of two weeks time with his and Bethany's infant son certainly didn't indicate a person grieving the loss of someone he claimed to love. He resided with his new girlfriend until approximately ____ of 2009.
Not only had we suffered the loss of our daughter, but for 3 long months we were forced to agonize over the safety and well being of our infant grandchild, due to his father refusing to allow us any contact with him whatsoever.
Three long months that seemed an eternity and finally our wish was granted......short lived as it was. While we began having regular scheduled overnight visits in our home with our grandson, his father suddenly brought them to a halt. He allowed us time enough to form a close bond with our grandchild, just as his siblings also formed a bond with their baby brother.
At this time we are awaiting a court hearing to hopefully gain legal visitation that can not be interupted at a whim.......and we ask that each and everyone of you reading this to please keep us in your prayers.
There are numerous issues that have risen since our daughters death but this is not the time or the place to discuss them.
I could also repeat over and over and over again the events leading up to Bethany's death but it can never change the fact our beautiful daughter is forever gone from ours and her childrens lives as well as the many family and friends lives who loved her dearly.
Not only do I want to concentrate on the person/persons involved being charged for their role in her death but I want to concentrate on how to go about getting new laws passed or perhaps getting a law changed in hopes someone else won't have to needlessly suffer the consequences as we have.
I'd like to make a brief comment on how we were treated by certain employees of the Mason County Sheriff's Dept. during the investigation of our daughter's death. We were lied to, ignored at times and spoken to in a rude manner during what has been the most painfully difficult time of our lives.
It's been nearly a year and there are still unanswered questions regarding items removed from the crime scene for analysis.........apparently nobody knows where these items are. They can't be located and the blame is being shifted from one dept to another with no answers. There were discrepancies in the medical examiners report and other information, yet those were simply brushed away as though it was of no significance.
Please, we are urging each of you who can help or can lead us to a person/persons who can help in the matter of a new law, "JUSTICE FOR BETH"
We would like to see mandatory polygraph testing be given to the person/persons having had contact with a victim of a presumably suicide, during the last 48 hours prior to their death. (In our daughter's case, she had been in a physical altercation at least once during the night in question before she was hanged)
We would also like to see a change in who is held accountable for a person's accidental injury and/or death within a 12-24 hour time frame after receiving drugs from someone.
(While a bartender can be held accountable for a person who has consumed too much alcohol and goes on to be involved in an accident, it only goes to reason that a person selling drugs to someone should be just as or more accountable for their fate. Using/Selling drugs is illegal while drinking alcohol isn't illegal if being consumed by someone over the age of 21yrs so it would only seem natural for someone illegally selling drugs to be held accountable for a person being injured/killed in a 12-24 hour time frame after having used the drugs.)
Perhaps a law requiring the polygraph testing in these particular crimes would be beneficial in cutting down on drug usage as well. While the polygraph results can't actually be used in a court of law, the persons selling drugs would know their names are out there for the authorities enabling them to better investigate their involvement.
While it's a fact our nations economy is failing us, it's also a fact our society is failing us as well as many in the judicial system. We, the tax paying citizens have to get serious and help gain some say in the matters of crimes being committed against us. I can assure you there is not one of you reading this who is above becoming a victim as our daughter was.
Too many lives are being lost, too many families being destroyed and too many innocent children being hurt both physicially and mentally, too many criminals going unpunished for their crimes against us, due to the lack of care and concern of our criminal justice system who choose to ignore their sworn duty to serve and protect us.
We greatly appreciate all the guestbook signatures and comments and encourage each of you to sign it. Should you prefer to e-mail me directly, please do so and I assure your message will be kept confidential tucker@frontiernet.net
Please keep our family in your prayers while our prayer continues to be that there will be final JUSTICE FOR BETH.

November 3, 2008
I telephoned the Mason County Sheriff's Dept to report a threatening phone call and was told they would be there in approximately 2 hours to make a report. In the meantime I received a call back to inform me there was nothing they could do without me getting information from the telephone company to prove the call had come into my house. I did as they asked and inquired about the information and was told that particular information would have to be gotten by being subpoened. I can understand this however the fact remains I do have caller ID which shows the number did indeed come into my house and I also have a recorded message with the caller identifying herself not to mention I recognized her voice.
This is just one of many examples of how tax payers of Mason County are being served. I continually pray for our newly elected sheriff of Mason County in hopes he will make a every effort for major changes for us here in Mason County.
