Details about My trip to Costa Rica
Question & Answer Format
First of all: everyone needs to understand that LFCity is not inviting us to Costa Rica to try and get us to 'move' into the community there; (however, I chose to do so, and it is possible). The purpose of the trip is to expose LFCity's new NET Technology to REAL PEOPLE in a fun and interesting 'focus group' format. . ... Remember that the TECHNOLOGY is what is important - when it is finally released to the world at large, 99% of the users will NOT MOVE ANYWHERE .. at least in the physical world. But they will learn how to use these tools to build a new world of privacy and wealth in the virtual 'new frontier' of Cyberspace.
WHAT's IN IT FOR ME?
At the very least: a really great experience, fun and enjoyment - a fabulous vacation at a great price, including sightseeing to scenic treasures, relaxation & pampering by the welcoming LFC folks. Add to this: personal growth thru intellectual stimulation and exposure to business & personal development opportunities. And that's just scratching the surface. Come & find out more for yourself. If I like what I find, what can I anticipate will be the follow-on benefits?
That's up to you. There really is an opportunity to make whatever you want of it, from a regular holiday destination to making a life-style change for your future. Many of the participants have moved permanently to CR and there are plenty of good reasons to do this. I understand that such a prospect might be outside your field of vision at present, however, having experienced the possibilities, it is likely that many of the CR Adventurers probably will jump on this path. You'll see what I'm talking about, so come with an open mind. Will I be on my own most of the time, or in a group?
The Costa Rican Adventure is designed to allow both private and social time. Together with the basic scheduled events, you will have ample time to explore & enjoy on your own or to benefit from the interesting and unique people who have been chosen for the same week. And of course, they can benefit from learning about you. Being part of the group experiencing the adventure offers a richness that really is enlightening and memorable. I highly recommend you take the opportunity to get to know like-minded people who come together as a result of an important common interest - i.e. sovereignty. Is there a discount if I bring my spouse?
The benefit is in sharing an absolutely unique experience together. Really, the value you'll gain is worth much more than the dollars you will have spent. I'd be surprised if you can find such value anywhere and you can email me on your return & tell me if you disagree. I'm confident you'll be emailing but to tell me how great it is.
Will I be subjected to a Heavy Duty Sales Pitch for something?
No. There is no pitch for you to buy anything. No multi-level marketing system. No land or time-share programs., etc. This is a fact
finding opportunity for you to explore the possibilities for your life. What do the promoters hope to gain?
They want to demonstrate, by example & by their achievements to date, that FREEDOM is alive and well. Yes, they hope to enlist your support by stimulating your enthusiasm to achieve your own goals, and they can show you how to do that. It's a win-win - they get the benefit of your input while your growing interest reaffirms their technology & provides the intellectual energy for them to perfect it.. They'll open the door for you...... to use these new network tools to achieve privacy, sovereignty and wealth in the information age.
How can I be sure that, once there, I will not be under pressure to subscribe to something?
There is no pressure at all - in fact, the opposite. The purpose of the Costa Rican Adventure is to create an experience for you to enrich yourself - it's simply been made available to you in the form of information offered for your understanding and this is absolutely an educational perspective so that you can make good judgements for yourself based on facts. The folks who organize the itinerary are available at prescribed times and at any time you prefer to discuss your personal issues. They want to be sure there is absolute clarity as to the achievements to date and future prospects they are aiming for. They are going to achieve their goals with or without you. However, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a part of something real, something fabulous and something that has never been possible before now. There is simply nothing like it.Do I have to stay for the entire itinerary?
You'll want to. Also, remember that this is a foreign country. It is far safer in CR than in even the small metropolitan areas of the US. Even so, it will be best for you to stay with the group and within the LFC communities where you can always have access to the security services of Laissez Faire City. The entire group will get to see the country on special trips. There is no need to go off on your own. What can I expect of the country - I know nothing about it?
There is abundance here. All of your senses will be working overtime & then some. Too much to list. You might want to look up Costa Rica on the web, however even there it doesn't touch on the visual, audial & kinesthetic reality. What are the Costa Rican people like? What should I be aware of?
I found them to be friendly, helpful, dependable - actually exceptionally so. Of course in any community there are the odd-balls & one should not lose sight of that fact, however, at the same time, it's easy to focus on the good things because there are plenty of those, from the great cooks, taxi drivers, shop assistants, etc. I think they are devoted family people and hard-working basically. What are the promoters like?
Unusual- Exceptional- Brilliant- Crazy - Generous - Dedicated - Visionary - Thoughtful - Considerate. They are life at it's largest; working together to achieve a powerful outcome. Real people, actually. A totally awesome encounter. I think from a future historical perspective, one could easily liken this evolving enterprise to the atmosphere & collaboration that must have been evident between the 'Founding Fathers.' I'm not kidding - it's a priviledge to have had the chance to be acquainted with them.Do I have to participate in the extra-curricular activities available?
It is after-all the Costa Rican ADVENTURE!! You will get the maximum pleasure from challenging yourself in some respect - go for it! (See 'essential items' below.)What's the surf like?
Ah...it varies. The fishing's good though. You can pick up fresh fish from the fisherman, right off the beach at Nosara, and get acquainted with some marvellous birds (the flying kind) at the same time. What are the essential items I need to take to be prepared for the trip?
Honesty - An adventurous spirit - Eyes wide open - A gold pan (metaphor for: an inquiring mind).Oh, I apologize, did you mean "things?" OK:
Something for warmth - Something for cold - Something for beach - Walking shoes, sandals, hat, sunscreen, insect repel - Something casual/comfortable - Something nice.
* And remember that extra cash for sundries [fone card US$10], souvenirs, optional activities [eg: massage US$30; Kayak US$20; Horseriding US$35]. I took an ultra-light flight (gulp!) and it cost $40.00 (absolutely worth it - the Pacific Coast from 500' up, WOW!)
* The Rand University usually has local currency on hand to change for US currency, change it in San Jose before you arrive in Nosara
* Remember, also, Airport Departure Tax US$20.
* If you take a LapTop, you'll need an Ethernet Network Card. Power is 110VAC, with no ground (two-prong, unpolarized plug).
** You might want to have a change of clothes in your carry-on bag, in the (unlikely) event your luggage prefers to holiday in Jamaica.
What was the best thing about your Costa Rican Adventure.
I realized the energizing power that comes from the reassurance that there ARE other people who believe FREEDOM matters, and they too are doing someting about it!!
What was the worst thing about your Costa Rican Adventure?
That it had to end.OK .. I hope this little page helps to make you feel more comfortable. If anyone has other questions ... just email me at: pr@lfcity.org and I'll get back to you right away. BTW, in case you are wondering .... Yes, they offered me a great job in the public relations department and I accepted immediately. I still have a life and business contacts back in Los Angeles, however, for the next few months I will be spending two weeks out of five at LFC in Costa Rica. Within a year, I will say "good-bye" finally to the 'second-world' of bureaucracy and servitude, to seek my future in Laissez Faire City. I hope I see you here one day soon.
Laissez-Faire!
