JR ROLFE
JR ROLFE is the son of James A. Rolfe Sr. and Carol Rolfe. He was born on May 30th 1984. He has been known for his love of trucks and motorsports events since he was a little boy. JR started his pulling career when he was 16 years old by pulling a 1984 Chevrolet Short Bed 4x4 in the 6200 lb. Street Stock class known as the "BLUE OX" at the local pulls. Now he is trying to get his 6500 lb. PRO-STREET 4x4 put on the circuit for the 2008 season. Racing runs in JR's blood and his family. His uncle Stuart Rolfe was a stock car driver in the mid to late 70's at Southside Speedway in Richmond, Virginia and ran a car in the Limited Sportsman Class. It was a 1957 Chevy known as car #12. His cousin Melinda Rolfe also was a stock car driver at Southside Speedway. She ran mini stocks for three seasons and then moved up to the late models for two seasons, during the late 80's and early 90's. JR also owns and operates his own motorsports production company called "WANTA-PULL" PRODUCTIONS. Their primary goal is to promote the sport of truck and tractor pulling. When he isn't pulling or promoting shows you might find him at a monster truck show crewing for a pro monster truck team such as Extreme Attitude Racing's WILD HAIR race truck or KSR Motorsports Mopar 1 Ride Truck. JR is also a volunteer Firefighter with the Randolph District Volunteer Fire Department. He has been in that department for four years. The department is also known as Company 4 in the county of Cumberland, VA. They provide service to Farmville, Buckingham, and Cumberland.
