About the Author: Josef Riekers started a hunting related business in 1988 and has evolved it to a family owned business. He has hunted nearly all the recognized exotic species included some not recognized by SCI like Watusi, Feral Longhorn Steer, Zebra and Rhea. He has been a Professional Hunter for over 10 years, hunting throughout the U.S. and Africa. For quite a while, Joe hunted with one rifle which he took over 400 big game animals with. Over the past 7 years he has been on the pro-staff of ammunition companies and businesses in the firearms and archery industries. Through these affiliations, he has used an extensive array of equipment to take an additional 200+ big game animals. He has also guided hundreds of clients, giving him a broad perspective on hunting in many situations and with a plethora of firearms, calibers and archery equipment. Joe has taken enough Introduced Species to qualify for the SCI Diamond Level in the category of Introduced Species in the United States. He is the author of A Trail of Feathers: A shotgunning guide for the Hunter and Shooter. He is also a columnist or associate editor for The Upland Almanac, The Covey Rise Magazine, Gunblast.com, GunDogs Unlimited Magazine and TV Show and The Professional Hunter Magazine.
