Do you have a living will? If not, it's something to think about. A living will makes sure that your medical treatment is done according to your wishes in the event that your condition is such that you cannot speak for yourself. It is something that can be notarized to become legal. It doesn't necessarily need filed in any courthouse, but will hold up in a court of law once it's notarized.
