This has been a tough week fishing. I only caught 5 fish all week, although 2 of them were good size. The best fishing right now is on the main lake using a solid black pig and jig along main lake points and on the steep side of the river fished slowly up the banks. The bite is suttle, so dont hesitate. The cold weather has the bass moved back out into deeper water, so look for places were there is deep brush along points, and where the bass have the easiest access to shallower water. The females I have caught are fat with eggs, and as soon as we get a couple of weeks of warm weather to set in, the bite should pick up consideraby. The lake is only about a half inch low, and the temperature is still around 49 degrees. Fish are being caught right now, but when that water temp reaches at least 55 degrees, you better be at the lake. If you have any comments or questions, send me an email.
