Tricks

ollie- place your back foot on the tail of your board. The closer you are to the tail the higher you go. Put your front foot a little below the trucks. Hop up a little without letting your feet go off the board. As your wieght comes back down slam down the back stretching your leg as far as you can down while your other foot slides up the board. Suck in your knees as you rise to get higher. Land with both feet still on the board and ride away. Start of not moving for practice.

pop-shuvit- to do a pop-shuvit put your feet like an ollie on put the ball of the back foot on the center of the tail so your toes hang over very little. Put your wieght on your toes on both feet and ollie. As soon as you feel all the wheels come off the ground take your back foot and pull it back so the board spins. It helps a lot if you look down. Suck both feet up and wait till the board does a complete 180 then slam your feet down and ride away. Start off not moving.

50-50 grind- all you have to do is ride onto a pole. The center of both trucks should be sliding across it. It helps to use wax for speed.

5-0 grind- do a 50-50 grind but put your wieght on the back and have only one truck touching the pole. Learn the manual first.

Manual- this is the easiest trick. Put your feet like an ollie and try riding as long as you can on your back trucks while moving. More speed makes it easier.

Nose Manual- a really hard trick. Place your front foot just below the nose of the board and your back foot a little behind the center.
Press down on the nose of the board until the back trucks come up and you are riding on your front trucks only. Do it slowly at first.

Nose grind- To do a nose grind come onto a pole and do a nose manual.
Try to keep your balance and not let the nose of the board touch the pole.

Moon Walk- the moon walk is not really a trick. It is real easy. Place you feet like an ollie while staying still. Lift up your the nose of you board and turn it a little to one side and then to another. The faster you do this the faster you go. You can go on forever without touching the ground.

Nose Slide- the nose slide is a really cool trick an you can do it almost everywhere there is a ledge or pole. To do a nose slide ride up to the ledge almost parallel to it. Ollie up and as soon as your in the air turn your nose of the board towards the ledge. As your up there put all your pressure on your foot that is on the nose. It is all in the lock up once you lock the board onto it and you get your balance you can go longer. There are two ways of getting off. You can come of regular. Thats when you shift your body forwards again landing moving regular. The other way is fakie. It is easier for some people and looks really cool. Instead of getting off regular try to turn the boards nose back and then land and ride going backwards. The more speed you have the longer you can go and wax helps a lot. Doing it on poles or rails is even harder.

Nollie-the easiest way to do a nollie is to stand like you normally would and push yourself backwards. This is called riding fakie. Practice riding like this in different places like a hill or flate ground. Ollie like you would normally while moving backwards and try to keep your balance. Practice moving down a little slope if you don't like pushing.

Fakie Pop-Shuvit Nollie- First you must know how to nollie and do a pop-shuvit. Ride backwards with your feet places like a pop-shuvit. Nollie and then pop-shuvit. Try not to slam your feet down to hard and fast because if its not all the way around you can fall. It also makes you lose a little speed. As you land bend your knees and ride away.

Rooftop- The rooftop is another easy trick for beginners. Stand on a flat surface for learning. Take the board and turn it over resting the bottom of it on the top of your toes. Have your the board upside down with your feet under the top of your trucks. Now bend your knees and jump up making the board flip over. Jump higher than the board then slam your feet down so it does not over turn. Do this on a slope to move after you land or try it off of something.

Rooftop Kickflip- This trick will really impress your friends but is kind of hard. First learn to do the rooftop. Now find a wall or ledge about a yard off of the ground. Place the board in a rooftop position as close to the edge as you can. Now rooftop hard as you can and suck in your knees. Watch the board go around one and a half times and land onto it. Try not to slam your feet down hard because it will hert. This is because of the height. Lean forward if you find yourself falling of backward.

Pressure Kickflip- This is a cool trick for everyone who can't kickflip the normal way. For begginers take the board and put it next to a ledge or curb so it is parallel to it. Try to put it as close you can with all four wheels on the curb. But your feet next to each other with a 3 inch space in between with them an inch behind the front bolts. Now bend your knees and press down as hard as you can on the side facing the curb or ledge. Suck in your knees a little if you need to give it more time to flip. Do the same thing on the flat ground if you learn to do it off a curb. You can also try it moving if your really good. When the ground is flat you should suck your knees in more for a better flip. Lnd with your knees bent.
