John's Wolseley Landcrab Page
This is my first attempt at a web page. It's all about me, and my attempts to run a classic Wolseley Six on very little money with the help of my friends. It will link you to my classic car chat forum, and also contains information about my family, friends and other interests.
My name is John Higginbotham. I'm lucky enough to live in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands village of Calton. I'm 51, and retired; yes, early I know, but a couple of heart attacks, not scooping the jackpot on the lottery, are the reason for that. I used to be an English teacher at Wickersley Comprehensive School in Rotherham and Rannoch School in Perthshire, then I spent some time as a bookseller dealing exclusively in cricket-related material.
The most important thing in my life is my family: my mother, whose house I share, my sister and brother and their children and grandchildren. I'm also fortunate in having some really good friends both here and from my working life. I hope they'll feature here before long.
My main interests now are my Labrador, Barney, my classic car, a 1972 Wolseley Six, my football team, Sheffield United, my computer, which allows me to get around all over the place without leaving home, and pottering around the garden.
