A God is for Everybody

God’s Message, about God, salvation, his kingdom, his talking, his calling, and his accessibility.

GOD IS FOR EVERYBODY

Since the first moment that I opened the Bible, it started talking to me. “Did you trust me? I read. No, you trusted in human power, and now there you are…
I though to my self, this book talks, and then I started always reading the bible as way of having conversations with somebody.
Some time I did not understand the meaning of the scriptures, but some times I did, and yes it always was about my personal journey, answers to my worries, encouragement, and even prayers already written for somebody else but it were there for my just to say them, and get comforted.
Has already passed ten years and God has make himself more clear to me.
He had greeted me with a kiss and show himself in means that is to big and meaningful that I could ever think on keeping it to myself. I think that He would like me to share with you my experiences.

Isaiah 55:1

The Lord says.
“Come, everyone who is thirsty-here is water, come you that have no money- buy grain and eat. Come! Buy wine and milk- It will cost you nothing!
Why spend money in what not satisfy?
Why spend your wages and still be hungry?
Listen to me and do what I say and you will enjoy the best food of all.

When we open the scriptures, it is the same God that is talking to us, we read it with intonation, meaning, voice, and it is really different that from trying to understand the scriptures from a bible studies or hear it from somebody else. ”. This one is to make come true Jesus words: “My sheep listen to my voice”.

The king David and others had already noticed this; he said “when I study the scriptures day and night, God talks to me on my right side”.
You may ask yourself, how can it be done?
God is powerful that the reason that he can achieve it. He is the creator of the Universe and He can achieve things that we can ever imagine.

1 Corinthians 2:6

“What no one ever saw or heard. What no one ever though could happen is the very thing God prepares for those who love him”.

Have you heard? That God is every where, a know everything about us?
Yes, he knows everything about us and we will know that when he talks to us trough the scriptures. He read our thoughts and answered them before even before we acknowledged them.

Jeremiah 23:23

‘I am a God who is everywhere and not in one place only.
No one can hide where I cannot see them. Do you not know that I am everywhere in heaven and on earth?

The following is a written for one of the apostles, I think he must had noticed the same as me. That through the scriptures God talks to us.

Hebrews 4:12, 13

“The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart. There is nothing that can be hidden from God; everything in all creation is exposed and lies open before hi eyes. And it is to him that we must all give an account of ourselves”.

Why God would like to talk to us?

Why would he ever bother? Is he only for saints? Would he be interested on communicating only with saints and not to any others?
The same question asked the Samaritan Woman to Jesus: You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan- So, how can you ask me for a drink?”
God has created us, we are his children. He has made us to his image.
Example: In the same way that a person feels proud of each of his/her achievements or creation. God feel the same about you and he would like to have a relationship with each of us; it gives him pleasure.
God is thirsty of a relation ship with us (his created children). He has made us of dust and poured up his spirit on us.
When he asked the Samaritan woman for water, his intention was of talking to her, he intended to establish a relation ship with her.
When he was dying he said “I am thirsty”. He was thirsty of a relation ship with his people (We humans).

God talk to us his children through the scriptures. The scripture is his word.
The word of God read our mind.
The first scripture of John he said: “The word of God” is “God.”

John 1…

In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
From the very beginning the word was with God. Through him God was with God. Through him God made all things. Not one thing in all creation was made without him.

Yes, it will talk to us about our personal lives, about our personal spiritual grow.
When we read the scriptures (I used to read it three times a day, and it opened each time on three different pages), we are positioning ourselves like the Samaritan woman on the well, as she was amazed about founding a prophet that new about all her life. We will feel the same when we opened the scriptures and find out that someone knows everything about us.
What did Jesus said to her? If you come to me you will find streams of living water.
Streams of living water mean “spiritual strength” (For a long time I have been asking myself, what the meaning of “Living water” is). Just a few days ago God show me these scriptures and opened my understanding.

Acts 3:19

Peter is saying:
Repent them, and turn to God, so that he will forgive your sins. If you do, times of spiritual strength will come from the Lord, and he will send Jesus, who is the Messiah he has already chosen for you.

In the following scriptures John will say that the Holy Spirit is the one, who will give streams of living water, but I believe that even prior receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, God is with us, holding us, giving us strength, his word is his food.

Streams of Life giving Water

John 7: 37

In the last and most important day of the festival Jesus stood up and said in a loud voice, “Whoever if thirsty should come to me, and whoever believes in me should drink.”
As the scripture says, “Streams of life- giving water will pour out from his side.”
Jesus said this about the Spirit (John is talking) which those who believe in him were going to receive. At that time the Spirit had not yet been given because Jesus had not been raised to glory.

Comment

Because Jesus and God are the same, anyone who comes to him, to his word will receive streams of life living water.

Times of the old Covenant and times of the new Covenant

In Moses times, God only talked to Moses.

Exodus 20:18

When the people heard the thunder and the trumpet blast and saw the lightning and the smoking mountain, they trembled with fear and stood a long way off. They said to Moses,
“If you speak to us, we will listen; but we are afraid that if God speaks to us, we will die.”
Moses replied, “Don’t be afraid God has only come to test you and make you keep on obeying him, so that you will not sin.” But the people continued to stand a long way off, and only Moses went near the dark cloud where God was.

Exodus 23:2

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up the mountains to me, you and Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the leaders of Israel’ and while you are still some distance away, bow down in worship You alone, and none of the others, are to come near me.
The people are not even to come up the mountain.”

After the resurrection of Jesus God will talk to anybody that humble himself and come to him, to learn from him. When someone opens the scriptures with the purposes of learning from God; he/her is already humbling himself. He/her is recognizing the existence of someone superior to him (His creator).

We are use to think that God is only available for saints, or that he only talks to saints; but it is not true, God is for everybody and he is available to anyone that humble himself and comes to know him. He will talk to anybody through the scriptures.

In the parabola: “The lost Son”.

Luke 15:20

So the son (us) got up and started back to his father.
“He was still a long way from home when his father (God our creator) saw him; his heart was filled with pity, and he ran, threw his arms around his son, and kissed him.

God loves is very big, and in the same way that the sun does not run away from anybody that positions himself to have sunbath, in the same way God will be there for any of his children “bad”’ or “good” that comes to him, and wants to learn from him.
He will be there as a “teacher”, as a parent (he is our creator), as a husband …

In the old times only a few people (Kings of Israel and some priests) had access to the word of God.

Matthews 5:43

[Jesus is taking]
For he (God) make his sun to shine on bad and good people alike and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil.

Matthews 6:11

Bad as you are (Jesus is talking), you know how to give good things to your children. How much more then, will your Father in heaven (Your Creator) give good things to those who ask him!

In times of the old covenant when God wanted to anoint somebody he relayed on his prophet to anoint him/her. To anoint somebody means to give the gift of the Holy Spirit or to heal somebody.
Now, thanks to the new covenant, people will get anointed only trough following Jesus.

On times of the old covenant the bible was not written yet, Moses started to write the bible, and he said that the king of Israel always should read the bible.

Deuteronomy 17: 14, 20

“After you have taken possession of the land that the Lord your God id going to give you and have settled there, then you will decide you need a king like all the nations around you. Make sure that the man you choose to be king is the one whom the Lord has chosen. He must be one of your own people; do not make a foreigner your king.
The king is not to have a large number of horses for his army, and he is not to send people to Egypt to buy horses, because the Lord has said that his people are never to return there. The king is not to have many wives because this would make him turn away from the Lord; and he is not make himself rich with silver and gold.
When he becomes king, he is to have a copy of the book of God’s original copy kept by the Levitical priests. He is to keep this book near him and read from it all his life, so that he will learn to honour the Lord and to obey faithfully everything that is commanded in it.
This will keep him from thinking that he is better than other Israelites and from disobeying the Lord’s commands in any way. Then he will reign for many years, and his descendants will rule Israel for many generations.

So I encourage you; if you want to talk to the creator of the universe, if you want to be taught by him, or if you feel that have nobody, and nobody cares for you; well come to him he is there waiting for you.

Psalms 71:8, 14

He rescues the poor who call to him, and those who are needy and neglected.
He has pity on the weak and poor;
He saves the lives of those in need.
He rescues them from oppression and violence;
Their lives are precious to him.

Isaiah 29::22, 24

So now the Lord, the God of Israel, who rescued Abraham from trouble, says, “My people, you will not be disgraced any longer, and your faces will no longer be pale with shame.
When you see the children (The Holy Spirit) that I will give you, then you will acknowledge that I am the Holy God of Israel (Israel is somebody coming to God).
You will honour me and stand in awe of me.
Foolish people will learn to understand and those who are always grumbling will be glad to be taught.”

You could ask yourself, what about if I get lost, or I do not interpret it correctly?
Nothing that we interpreted from the bible it should come out of the boundaries of the Ten Commandments.
Jesus was asked by a man: “what I should do to go to heaven? He said to him “Follow the Ten Commandments”.
So, as long that we are aware of that, we will be in a safety grounds.
It is difficult to follow the Ten Commandments and for some is much more difficult, only with God help we would achieve it. God is there to help us.
In these times, we are really lucky because the bible is accessible to most of the people.
In the old times only a few people (Kings of Israel and some priests) had access to the word of God.

Contrary to what some people believe, God has a lot of common sense. We have got it from him (the little that we have).
When we as humans interpreted Jesus advice : “When someone give you a slap on the face, put the other side of your face”, some could think that it is a silly response, but in reality violence generate violence, so if someone died evading violence God himself will punish the unrighteous with hell, and the righteous with heaven. Jesus himself was never violent, he ran away from his persecutors or at the end he was crucify.

John 8:57, 59

They said to him (Jesus), “you are not even fifty years old –and you have seen Abraham?”
“I am telling you the truth,” Jesus replied. Before Abraham was born ‘I am’”
Then they picked up stone to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and left the Temple.

In those times, in our spiritual infantilism we laughed of him and said “He was talking about saving the world, but could not save himself.
In our infantilism we could not understand the laws of God.
Jesus refers a victory on earth, as only partial victory. What he aims is “victory over the flesh”, that ultimately will take us to heaven.
In the following passage the prophet Isaiah wrote a revelation about what will happen to Jesus.

Isaiah 50:5, 9

Jesus is talking:
“The Lord (My father) has given me understanding and I have not rebelled or turned away from him, I bared my back to those who beat me.
I did not stop them when they insulted me, when they polled out the hairs of my beard and spat in my face.
But their insults cannot hurt me because the Sovereign Lord gives me help (His father). I brace myself to endure them, I know that I will not be disgraced, for God is near, and he will prove me innocent.
[The Creator of the universe will resurrect him]
