'A Flamboyant Disarray of Dreams', by Joy Lee Rutter, sparks interest in the little-known subject matter; traumatic brain injury. Midwest Rewiew says: "The book is enticing with its wild disarray, weird magical moments and plagued with paranoid delusions. A fast paced excellent read..."
Joleen Cumberland works at a brain injury rehab. Her work centers around Alex Williams and Mitch Stevens. Mitch, unable to communicate due to his own brain injury becomes intrigued by the spirited Alex. What is behind the rage Alex displays? How will Mitch be able to communicate what he eventually learns? How will Joleen help while facing problems with her boss, co-workers, Mitch's overbearing brother Geoff and now, Alex's growing rage?
Only A Flamboyant Disarray of Dreams holds the answer.
Author Biography:
Ms. Rutter moved to New Hampshire from Florida in September of 1996. During her difficult adjustment period to a new environment, she started a journal. Eventually, it led into writing essays. Ms. Rutter finds humor in odd places and it inspires an idea for one of her "viewpoint of humankind's oddities" writings. Non-fiction being her preference, a novel was never in her plans. However, she wrote her first book 'A Disturbing Presence' on an impulse. A strange conversation with her step-daughter sparked an idea and Joy took off with it. Her day job in a traumatic brain injury facility was the basis for her second book, 'A Flamboyant Disarray of Dreams'. Besides writing, and promoting her books, Joy Lee keeps busy with her husband, two teenage sons, and her cats Mugzi & Li-Lu. Other passions include weaving rag rugs, and building bigger looms. :)
Rutter is a member of the New Hampshire Writers Association and several internet writers groups.
