JEET KUNE DO HEALTH & HUMANITARIAN ORG. (JKDHHO)
The Jeet Kune Do Health and Humanitarian Organisation Ltd. (JKDHHO) is a Not-For-Profit Organisation affiliated to the Sovereign Medical Order of the Knights Hospitaller of St. John of Jerusalem (SMOKH), registered in the U.K., raising funds, donations, awareness and qualified volunteers to support Charitable Healthcare Centres, Clinics, Hospitals and Schools Worldwide in developing countries, such as: Nepal, Philippines, Thailand, India, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, etc.
In October 2008, Dr. McBaine and the SMOKH are travelling to the Municipality of Dannbantayan, Cebu, the Philippines, to help assist Dr. Jabel and the Rural Health Unit, and to propose to the Mayor to help the people of that area by developing a Healthcare Centre-Hospital in memory of the late Skip Ellsworth's (Dr. McBaine's close friend), vision of saving lives of poor children in the Philippines, through providing assistance for free medical care (Skip Ellsworth Memorial Fund).
Also, in December 2008, Dr. McBaine and the SMOKH will be travelling to Nepal to formally open the first "1st Jeet Kune Do Memorial Healthcare Centre" in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Presently, ongoing Health Camps at various locations in Nepal are be conducted.
This Healthcare Centre (and the Health Camps) is in its developmental stages under the supervision of Mr. Shiva Bahadur Thapa, the Organisation's Founding Member and Representative in Nepal, and the first of its kind anywhere in the world, dedicated to the memory and honour of Bruce and Brandon Lee, who both believed in a person's total health and fitness through the development and nourishment of the body, spirit and mind.
