The trial of our faith. What is faith?
The word says in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
So faith is something you are hoping for, something you have not yet gotMARK11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. When you pray you must believe you have got it, then, you would shalt have it.
( james 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.) This scripture also says that you haven't got what you've prayed for yet because you prayed a mess consume it upon your lusts.
so many people think that this next scripture is talking about God testing us with sickness diseases poverty and death, but it doesn't say anything like that. This is why I have drawn attention to the two scriptures above .
1 Peter 1: 6. Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:Explanation
This scripture says if you are being tempted with many temptations, this is bringing you into heaviness.this scripture does not say sickness diseased poverty or death. It says being tempted,What does temptation mean?
Verse 7 The trial of a your faith been more precious than gold
1 Peter 1: 6 (A)Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, (B)ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:(Not sickness)
1Peter1:7 (C)7That the trial of your faith,(D) being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: it is the trying -testingof your faith that is more precious than goldmore precious
More precious than what?
More precious than of gold that perished though it be tried with fire
What is tried with the fire?
Is it your faith or is it that gold
The word says of gold that perished, though it be tied with fire... the gold is purified with fire not your faith the word says faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God
(C) so God is a saying in This scripture, your faith is more precious than the gold that is tried with fire God is not telling you to rejoice for the temptation he is saying rejoice while you are in that temptation
(A)the word is telling us to greatly rejoice not for the trials or tribulations
(B) says you are in heaviness through manifold temptations This scripture says if you are being tempted with many temptation, this is bringing you into heaviness This scripture it says being tempted, what does temptation mean?
(c) trial of faith being more precious then gold
What is more precious thing gold? ==your faith out how far a
(D) What perish as if the gold the parish has all the gold in the world are not by you help to
so the word of God is saying that your faith is more precious than gold that has to go into a fiery furnace to pure find it, God is not saying that you have to go through a fiery furnace to be pure.you have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus ChristJames 1: 2
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
knowing what? nowing this, That the trying of your faith is doing something,
what is it doing? It is working patience nowing this,Mark 11:24
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.Is it God testing your faith? NO. it is Satan tempting you trying to destroy your faith
1Cor7:5. Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency. 6But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.
Satan is the temptation
Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
What is not faith is SIN
God will not take your faith away he said "t is impossible to please God with out faith"
Satan cannot take your faith you are the only one
James 1: 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Another translation of James 1:12
Happy is the man who does not give in and do wrong when he is temptedJames 1: 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:or (Happy is the man who does not give in and do wrong when he is tempted)
for when he is tried,
he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13Let no man say when he is tempted,
I am tempted of God:
for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14But every man is tempted,
when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin:
and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.what is temptation? New lime I will give you two examples:
In Matthew 4: 1 Jesus is tempted in the wilderness. Did Jesus endure temptation? YES,He didAdam and Eve were tempted in the garden dead the Valley in dual temptation? NO,they gave in to the temptation
God also said in verse 13 James 1: 13)"for God cannot be tempted with
evil ,"
do you know what he is saying here?
that he cannot be tempted with evil. So you cannot make Him sin
God can not be tempted with these things.
Jesus went to hell that we might go to the father.
He was made sin that we might be the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
Jesus became poor that we might be rich.
Jesus became sick that we might be healed.
Jesus died that we might have eternal lifeActs 10: 38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.So God calls healing good.
Deuteronomy 28 you will find the blessing and the curse of the law.
God said if you were hearken to the voice of the Lord, all the blessings will come on you.
if you don't you will operate in the curse
good news
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law,
Galatians 3: 13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.if Jesus became a curse for us, we do not have to walk in the curse
which is sickness, diseases, is poverty.
Satan is cursed so everyone that not born of God has Satan nature and operates in that curse
We have the nature of our father. We have been translated out of the Kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son.James 1: 14 but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
The word shows me that every man is tempted, tested and tried when he or she is drawn away of their own lust or drawn away of their own free will.
God is not involved in his or her drawing away, neither is Satan. It is the individual's free will and when he or she is drawn away and take the temptation that Satan has put in front of them, next verseJane's or 1: 15 then when lust have conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
so we see that when lust is present in people it brings sin and when sin has finished, it brings death.
James 1: 16 do not err, my beloved brethren. Do not make a mistakeJames 1: 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. So,do not blame God if you are tempted. of what
James 1: 12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation:
for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God:
for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
14But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
16Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.Explanation of James 1: 12 - 17
12 we see that a man that endureth temptation is blessed. he is blessed because he will not give in to the temptation he walks away from the temptation does not accept the temptation.
The Word of God says one thing, but the enemy says another thing.
The word of God says we are not to turn to the right or tw the left. our trust is placed in the living God and we will receive the crown of life that has been promised to those that love God.13God said that when you are tempted do not blame him. When tested and trials come God does not send them.
God does not send Satan to teach us. It is not Satan job to teach a Christian or the unbelievers God teachers us by and through his word
