Church of Jesus' Awesome Love
.Hello. My name is Mariyah Hassan Conrad. I'm nothing, just dust really, but I'm ordained in the World Christianship Ministries. They have given me a church Charter for the Church of Jesus' Awesome Love and the right to new ordain ministers.
I was raised Pentecostal on a farm just outside of Weldon,Iowa.There,as a teen in my dining room, Jesus called me to the ministry. Then,I became a religion major at Graceland College, in Lamoni, Iowa.I met my husband of 35 years there. We did not finish our degrees because we ran out of money. We settled first in Houston, Texas, where he's from, then we moved to Kansas City, Missouri for around 18 years. Now, we've come full circle and live back here in Lamoni.
While I lived in KCMO, I became sidetracked, derailed, really. I tried converting a middle eastern family to Christianity and got converted to Islam instead. I was a devout Muslim for many years.I still have great respect for Muslims. Most of them are kind and gentle people who just don't know Jesus,yet, as their personal saviour. I have the privilege of being honorarily adopted by a Muslim family there in KCMO. I love that family very much and am proud to be one of them.
It's only because of Jesus' awesome love and mercy that I've repented and rededicated my life to Him.
I'm a college student again. By God's grace,I'm almost through the Assembly of God Church's Global University Associate ministerial degree program.
My theology is "Once saved, always saved." I base this on I Corithians 3:10-15, "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."
I also base it on John 10:24-28, "Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand."
Isn't that a beautiful promise? I BADLY need that promise because I've, at times, been a very wandering sheep. James 5:16 says,"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed." In the past, during times of hurt or stress, I've turned by back on Jesus and gone back to Islam. Because of that tendency to wander, I resolve to never open or to read a Quran again.
