Hoping To Adopt Infant to 6 mos!!

Dear Birth-Mother

Who We Are:
Our names are Jessica and Jay. I (Jessica) am 26 and Jay is 29. We are living in Southern California at the moment. My husband is in the Navy and I do Navy home Daycare. He just re-enlisted for 6 more years and that means that I have done the same!! ]

What We Do:
Jay is in the Navy, he has been a SeaBee for 4 years now and is re-signing for 6 more!
Jessica does Military home daycare for 6 children 3 mos up to 6 years and she is a stay at home “mom” for 3 foster children.

Where We Are From:
We are both originally from Colorado. I was born and raised there in a small town and then later moved to Denver. Jay moved around more so than myself, but we both ended up in Denver which is where me met through a couple of our best (mutual) friends. We hit it off right away and soon moved in with each other. 2 years later we were married and in the Military.

Why We Feel That We Would Be Great Parents:
We have tried very hard to have children of our own for the past couple of years. We have had no success and also found out that there is no possible way that we can have our own children unless we artificially inseminated which I don’t want to do. We have both made the decision to adopt since there are so many babies out there and that need homes. We want to adopt at least two babies. Either one at a time, or who knows, mabey even a set of Twins!
We both feel the same way about having children, we both feel that we have reached that point in our marriage that we are ready for that next step. That next step to us includes children. We have tiny feet in our home everyday, but none that we can call our very own. I want to be-able to hear the baby in the middle of the night and be-able to get up and get her a bottle. I want to hear the cries of teething, and the little “owies” that they get when they are hard at play. I just want to sit and be-able to rock “our baby” to sleep and give her tiny kisses on her forehead!
Jay is so good with the kids just the same. All of my daycare babies just love him and can’t wait for him to get home! Most of them call him Mr. Jay! It’s just so funny to see him playing with all the kids. He lets them climb all over him, and lets them help wash his car, and do things outside. They all think that he is the greatest.
We have also taken in Foster kids which just seem to fit right in at home and it’s great to have them here. It kind of helps sooth that hurt of not being able to have our own children. It’s just hard to watch then go when it is time. They attach to us very quickly and call us mom and dad, but you have to remember that even though you treat them as your own children, and they call you mom and dad, they still have to leave “home” at some point.

We feel that we would be great parents for your baby and offer her lots of love and attention. She would never want for anything. Your baby would have everything that she needed and deserved. Your baby has been wanted for so long that it would be a huge honor for us if you would give us the opportunity to raise your baby. We feel that we would be great parents, providers and giver’s of lots of love and affection.
