Everyday DBT Practice with Meditation
This is a webpage stressing the skills of the Dialect Behavior Therapy I have learned as a student of a former DBT group. I am not a therapist nor do I wish to be. I just want to pass on what I have learned that has helped me deal with everyday problems and with healing from child trauma issues. I did graduate from the group, I didn't just walk out of it like I saw some actually do. I have learned that the teachings of Buddhism and meditation have been a great asset to my recovery from my orginal diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disoder/Chronic Depression/Complex PTSD. The doctors say I no longer have BPD thank goodness, but I still have the others. So maybe I have something to offer others who are going through the DBT groups or are waiting to go to one.
If you are in a group stick with it no matter how painful it may get, it will be worth it in the end. If you are waiting to go to one don't give up, there are things you can do while you are waiting, reading about DBT is one of them. Learn all you can about it. Learn to meditate and practice daily it is a great help.
