How God Changed my Life!
My name is Roy Cork,
I was raised a raciest, hooked on beer, whisky, Crank, and any other drug I could get my hands on. My whole life I just wanted to die.

I was in a car wreck at age 7 in (1972) I have been in pain every second of my life since. That is why I started taking drugs to try and get rid of the pain it didn't work.

I'm not making excuses, I did drugs because I wanted to.

In 1993, I had been living with my girlfriend now for 7 years. I was deep into drugs one day while I was partying with a friend. I thought I was going to die at least 4 times that day. I was hoping I would die to escape the fear and pain but I didn't! It was the worst day of my life but I found out 2 things that day.

#1: I was alive for a reason
#2 I couldn't live this way anymore but I couldn't stop. I was broken and I needed help. I was ready to try anything I couldn't take it anymore. But no one could help me.

I knew my little sister went to church so I asked her maybe I should go to church, maybe church could change my life I thought? She called an evangelist from her church to come talk to me. He asked if I wanted to accept Jesus? "But they're all hypocrites" I said. " We all fall short of the glory of God" he said. Every excuse and argument I had. He gave me scripture for every one!

Everything he quoted touched my heart. I said "That is the answer"! What have I got to lose????? I asked Jesus into my heart June 26 1993@12:35 PM (baptized July 4th 1993) I didn't know what to expect. I had done many horrible things in my life but God forgave me anyway!!!


The next morning I woke up filled with the Holy Spirit of God. For the first time in my life I felt so much love and joy but I knew I didn't deserve it! All the hate and anger was gone I have never been so (high) in my life I met God himself that day! I felt like everyone had cancer and I found the cure I had to tell every one!

I told my girlfriend I loved her but I couldn't sleep with her any longer unless we got married. I also told her that I had no desire to drink or do drugs anymore. She said "you couldn't have changed like this overnight you're faking it!" I said "you're right, I couldn't but God changed me!!" I know I deserve hell more then anybody I know but God forgave me and saved me!

My friends, your never to evil or to far gone for God to forgive you and change your life forever. I know :0) Praise God !!

What you should know
FIRST, YOU NEED TO BE SAVED.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" ( Romans 3:23)
SECOND, YOU CANNOT SAVE YOURSELF.
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us." (Titus 3:5)
THIRD, JESUS HAS PROVIDED FOR YOUR SALVATION.
"That Christ died for our sins...He was buried He rose again the third day " (1 Cor.15:1-4)
FOURTH, YOU MUST ACCEPT JESUS FOR SALVATION.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved". (acts 16:31)
FIFTH, NOW IS THE TIME TO ACCEPT JESUS AS SAVIOR.
"behold, now is the day of salvation." (II Cor.6:2)

WHAT TO DO.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, Thou shalt be saved," (Romans 10:9)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved," (Romans 10:13)
FINALLY, WILL YOU BOW YOUR HEAD AND PRAY THIS PRAYER?
"Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner. I do believe that Jesus Christ died for me to pay my sin debt, and the best I know how, I trust him now by faith AMEN.
The gift of God is eternal life in Heaven. He gives the gift of salvation freely to all who ask, no matter how late in their lives nor how sinful they have been. Nobody is so bad that they can't be saved and nobody is so good that they need not be saved. God says that all who accept the sacrifice of His sinless Son Jesus Christ as payment for their sins will spend eternity in Heaven.
Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God died on a cross, was buried, and came back to life to pay for all of our past, present and future sins. Throughout the Bible Jesus Christ makes it very clear that He and He alone can save our souls and give us eternal life in Heaven. He isn't "a" way but "the" way to the Father(God) who is in Heaven. Here is another verse from the Bible where Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (Acts 4:12) The Bible also says in (Mark 1:15), "Repent and believe the good news!" The death of Jesus Christ on the cross is the payment for our sins, the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave is our receipt. That's the GOOD NEWS!

All we have to do is believe the good news and repent. This repentance is a change of mind that agrees with God that one is a sinner, and also agrees with what Jesus did for us on the Cross. Salvation is not a reward but a gift from God to those who believe. If you said the prayer you are now and forever saved and on your way to Heaven. Welcome to the family of God.


If you were saved today may I suggest that you go to a bookstore and get a New King James Version Bible. The New King James Version Bible is more easy to read and understand. A good place to start reading the Holy Bible would be the book of John. You should also be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ.
