Mikkyo
Bujinkan Mikkyo: Ninja "magic" is composed of a variety of fields drawn from ancient, Eastern esoteric beliefs. Perspectives of camoflage/concealment, improvisation, various intellectual/psychological understanding, world familiarity, independant problem solving and the importance of (even if ignorant), political statement. This is not to say anything in regards to Bujinkan martial arts in itself holds any political standing whatsoever, though it may be difficult to freely explore various methods of improvisation if one lives in a country which restricts one's free thinking, for example.
Go-gyo is an excellent basis for a beginning however I have no wish to recover ground already explored by Shidoeshi Stephen K Hayes in his magnificent publications, rather to express a workable perception allied to individual experience based upon those invaluable books read so long ago.
A system of eight elemental representations: Earth, Water, Fire and Wind in both a positive and negative form remembered upon the fingers of each hand, plus an awareness of Tantric lore (the Void), In-yo Do relative to the system's immediate value: hand to hand combat.
Intellectually this leads us directly to the Mandalas of Tibet, in recognition of the formulation of "the Tibetan Diamond Thunderbolt" so we should pause here and realise that in practicality, this moment is the point of attendance within dojos of (presumably) Ninja Budo Taijutsu: our physical step upon the path of this Musha Shugyo (warrior errantry), we take upon ourselves (heh, and probably the last choice we have in that matter, if you'll care to see the humour in such a statement).
