Jane F. Houston is a certified nurse-midwife and nurse practitioner based in Gainesville, Florida and was the first nurse-midwife to offer hospital based birthing at North Florida Regional Medical Center. She is also a specialist in well woman care including family planning. Jane is originally from Glasgow, Scotland where she trained as a registered nurse, graduating in 1988 from Glasgow Caledonian University. She undertook midwifery training in Glasgow receiving her diploma in 1992. After traveling and assisting at births in both Zimbabwe and New Zealand she came to Florida in 1996. Jane entered the University of Florida in 1999 and received her Master's degree in nursing and midwifery in 2001. She obtained her doctoral degree in nursing practice on May 1, 2009.
She is happy to see new patients and accepts most health insurance plans and Medicaid. Jane is associated with North Florida Women's Physicians' practice.
She has assisted women at over 2000 beautiful births on four continents.
Her professional interests include: normalization of pregnancy and the birth process and breastfeeding.
Jane had an article entitled "Around the world with midwifery" published in Midirs Midwifery Digest September 2003, volume 13, number 3.
Also letter to editor regarding "Nurse-Midwifery Week" published in Journal Of Midwifery and Women's Health January/February 2004, volume 49, number 1.

Jane holds courtesy faculty status as adjunct professor at the University of Florida. GO GATORS!
She became a naturalized American citizen in June, 2003.
AnnMarie Fenn graduated from Philadelphia University with a degree in midwifery. She is a certified nurse-midwife, nurse practitioner and certified childbirth educator. Her interests include normalization of birth and excellence in obstetrical and well woman care. AnnMarie also holds courtesy faculty status as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida.
