Synchro!

Schronized ice skating is a combonation of ice dance and figure skating with a whole bunch of skaters. It takes edges, team work, and skills. traveling with teams is fun wether your a sibling or a skater join the fun! i am a skater on a local team JAGGED ICE! We are looking for more skaters, so lace em up! Our team has won one trophy and many medals. here are some moves in synchro!

circles - skaters form one / several circle’s that revolve. what judges look for in competition: roundness, equal spacing, difficulty of holds, skating direction, control, speed, and footwork

wheels - skaters form lines that are rotating around a fixed or point in a spoke
what judges look for in competition: configuration, difficulty of holds, control of rotation, speed, spacing, difficulty of steps,

blocks - skaters form three or more parallel lines that travel as one in different directions while performing footwork in unity
what judges look for in competition: configuration, spacing, difficulty of holds, direction of block, difficulty of steps, skating direction, speed, edges

lines - skaters form one or two straight lines that moves along the ice while doing footwork
what judges look for in competition: staying straight, the way the line moves, how dificult the hand/arm holds are, skating direction, speed, edge quality

intersecting - this is a move where part of the team is passing through another part of the team, preferably with high speed you may do this by doing a spiral, lunge, twizle, or anything else!!!!
what judges look for in competition: difficulty, steps, spacing, point of intersection maneuvers speed, edges, holds, transitions.
