Kanagawa Bushido Martial Arts Society
Welcome to the Guantanamo chapter of the Kanagawa Bushido Martial Arts Society (KBMAS). Our ultimate aim is to provide instruction in Karate and Jujitsu while introducing modern combat self defense techniques and principles as well. We strive to maintain the standards established by Funakoshi Sensei while developing an atmosphere of comraderie and respect to others. Sensei Caesar A. Garcia is the founder and the Chief Instructor of the KBMAS. Sensei Garcia started his journey into the martial arts during the 70's as a child and has perservered to continue training throughout many obstacles. Sensei Garcia has lived and trained in Japan with such notable JKA Instructors as Okazaki Sensei (9th Dan), Yahara Sensei (8th Dan), Sato Sensei (7th Dan), Amin Sensei (7th Dan), Sensei Gales and Sensei Myslinski. Sensei Garcia has also had the privilege of training under notable Instructors in other styles such as Kyokushinkai, Jeet Kune Do and Jujitsu. Sensei Garcia has recently started another martial arts journey under the mentorship of Soke Leroy Epperson, founder of Gaijin Ryu Jujitsu.
